To my mind the DE profession has more in common with the Bio-Engineer then Creature Handler. Most BE's have doubled in CH so they can call and control the creatures they create - creating a bioengineered creature does not bestow the ability to control the creature, and does not make the BE a terror on the battlefield.

Why should a DE be able to handle themselves in a battle ? Your a Merchant and an Engineer, not a warrior class profession. What is missingis the warrior/battle class that specialises in droids, and which would serve as a customer base for battle class droids.

Your dead on about the 'non combat' class. The problem being is that you dont need to 'train' a droid to make it combat effective. In its purest form, anyone with money could by a droid army and dominate. All classes can use a combat droid effectivly because the droid responds to a situation based on its programming.

I dont see a solution where CH's dont become obsolete if droids are placed on 'par' with their best creatures. They (CH's) earned the rights to have powerful beasts following them. The droid owner just needed credits.

oh, well im sorry if i said something wrong, i just remember being in anchorhead one day and some guy had 3 rancors out. sorry bout that. and i dont think they are overpowered, just that DE needs to be somewhat comparable.

Droids shoulndt have certs such as CH, thats for sure.

I don't think DE's should exactly have a droid as powerful as a rancor, but it would be nice. HOWEVER, the probot is about as useless as having a kreetle as a pet. On top of this, they can't be healed except in the datapad, and up until last patch were insta-death.

I just can't comprehend why DE's are so neglected. Is it so hard to give us a quick fix droid that is at least as powerful as a weak CH pet? The toughest level non-CH pet is lvl 15 with around 3200 HAM and 120-150 damage or so. Why not let us make one like that and make it hard enough resource wise to make that they aren't a dime a dozen?

*sigh* Thats true, but I'm just about to accept any fix from the devs as long its a fix and not a nerf.

I'll be able to live with droids not as strong as a rancor.

I can't belive you guys, which is stronger meat or metal? which is faster cars or horses? which dose more damage a dog bite or a shotgun? The combat droids will cost a heck of alot and should be more powerfull than any creature!! Rancor are why overpowered!! Ever tried to control three dogs in a park? it is not easy now throw in the fact that they are wild to begin with and have set patterens of behavior, they would not obey anyone once the fighting started.

Stop selling your profession short!! We should be the CH of starwars!! their was ONE tamer in all the Movies, ONE! The animals used inepisode two were not tamed they were wild animals, proded into the arena!!!

Metal is stronger than Meat, Meat Dies, Metal gets recycled.
