HAHAHAHA

Sorry I had to laugh. I sell that droid for 26k. I have sold them for 29k. I dropped my price a little because I am now able to keep up with more demand.

I made over 700,000 credits in the past week and a half.

There is no need to screw yourself and give things away for free.

Let's have a little fun shall we?

T21 decently pre-sliced : 32k+

Armor sets: 125k - 500k

Heavy harvester: 100k

And you're worried about selling the best med droid you can make for 9k ??

*waves hand*

You want to go home and re-think your life.

I agree with another post. If you really want to make easy cash and sell for the prices you want, just go buy droids from other people and sell them at a higher price. Easy money. Sell yours at the price you want and don't worry about it.

I don't general sell R series droids anymore, but that price is quite low for what I'd consider selling it at. 6k I wouldn't even bother with it, for 6k it doesn't justify the time I took to get the resources nor make the droid. I can run missions and make an order of magnitude more case in the same amount of time.

Quite honestly, I've said it before, people who do "DDP" and who sell Probots at 3k are insuring that no matter what, SWGs will not have Crafters long. It's not worth the time nor energy to bother playing a crafter if you make less on a sale than a newb on a single mission run. As it stands now, because of the pricing on my server on R-series droids and BH droids I won't even bother with them, it isn't worth my time. Radiant seems to be the only server with a significant number of DEs, and some of these "DDP" people are starting to show up. One guy is selling to a Merchant cheap enough that he is selling 4 module Protocol's at 13k. At that point, it's no longer worth my time to make those anymore either. I can spend half an hour to make that droid, or I can go to lok and take 2 missions and likely make more.

Personally, I think they need to implement Price Minimums so that people like Madcat don't kill off the game's economy within the first 6 months. Because the end result's going to be that the real Crafters work only for themselves or surrender, and run missions for money like everyone else, and when the people killing the economy cancel the servers will be left berefet of items.

Don't short change yourself because 1 person doesn't like your prices. Come up with something that makes you a reasonable profit and is a fair price to pay for your time and service.

While I charge far more than Madcat does for an R2 with those stats (25k) I really don't think we need minimum pricing. One player really can't ruin an economy. If he is as prolific as he claims he -might- put a small ding in it before he burns out, but I really doubt it.

I sell droids that low. Everyone on these forums should know that buy now.

As for saying, people who sell this low aren't making money or won't be in business for long, check this:

I've been a master DE for months now, still in business.

I've made about 180k today selling at my prices (stuff like Adv Probots, max armor, any 2 mods for 6k). Most of that I didn't have to craft by hand, as every week, my factory throws out 100 droids.

It costs me .6 credits per resource, counting harvesters, power, and factory. I'm selling from 2-4 credits per resource, so with the numbers of droids I sell, I'm making a hefty profit.

The economy is still there, I haven't broken it.

Even 9k is waaay too low. I sell that droid for around 25k and can't keep them in stock. I just raised the prices of several of my droids because I can't nearly keep up with the demand, and I'm already making nearly a million a week.

In a day and age where rifles cost 100k, DEs should not be selling themselves short. You will burn out really fat if you have to fill 10 orders a night and only make 50k, which barely covers resource cost.

ROFLMAO... it's not possible to "kill" the economy. Supply and demand, folks! If someone is willing to sell a Probot for 3k and you're not, then he's going to win the price war and drive you out of business. That's how a free market economy works.

As strange as this may sound, there is an oversupply of Droid Engineers right now. Customers can easily compare prices with other DEs in the neighborhood and select the lowest price. Quality is not a concern because it isn't implemented.

I recently raised my prices but I still have the cheapest prices on my planet by far. I was perfectly happy selling at the lower prices, too, so don't try to tell me I'm "ruining the economy" or that I'm going to burn out. I'm a Droid Engineer because I like making droids, not because I'm in it to get rich. If you can't compete with that, tough.

My *character* is successful, so whether or not I make money as a Droid Engineer is irrelevant. That's just one part of a larger whole.
