Another skill combo to consider is a Deathwatch Bunker template:

Master Artisan
Master Droid Engineer
Master Rifleman

This gives you a CL of 54, approximately 2200 health, the ability to wear reconaissance armor, weild and use specials for a rifle, and still be a functional Droid Engineer. I chose Creature Handler because as a wookiee, I can already weild an assault bowcaster and it allows me to wear heavier armor. That and I like pets.




I'd actually debated doing CH especially since the toon I'm now doing this was going rifleman/ranger/part CH before the CU. I reactivated his account the other day and used his final CU respec that popped up to send him to MArtisian/DE 0144/novice merchant and the last few points he had into a few scout skills just so they weren't lost from respec. Still has the token one though. Anyway he still has like 4-5 crates of mask scent and creature taming food and a CL12 cat in his datapad so it would be easy to do CH except for trying to tame aggro type creatures. I guess I was just thinking all crafting with him since I will already have two combat toons.

EDIT: just checked a proff. calculator, I'd have to leave off Master box and one level 4 for any combat proff. I take because I need to be able to have at least novice merchant with this toon.

I am MDE, MSW, MA and the rest in Merchant.

Focusing on crafting BH droids at the moment.
Shipwright is more for the ability to RE stuff for myself and building a ship or two for personal use or a close friends.

I took the opertunity to respec from Chef to Shipwright, saved me a few million resources

I've got Master Artisan/Master Architect/Master Droid Engineer and the rest in merchant. The Architect is just to have the structure vendor and build my own factories and harvesters. The Artisan is great for vehicles and extra components. Now that everybody can use the camo kits scout isn't needed for mask scent. Oh, if everybody didn't know, those camo kits do work... most of the time. Remember though to *walk*, not run, when there is red aggros around harvesters and factories. Mine are on Dantooine so the hurton population can get out of hand. Couple of days ago I walked right by 5 hurtons within 10m from my factories. Doesn't always work, sometimes you still need to burst run out of there. I just hate to waste good crafting skill points on a combat skill when I have 2 other combat toons.

That looks fairly similar to my template. I was closing in on MDE when Pub 21 happened, and I took a break and grinded Master Weaponsmith. I am Master Artisan and have 3000 Merchant. I also have a bit of Medic -- I have a combat droid that watches my back when I'm checking my harvesters, and it's nice to be able to hit him with a bacta toss or two (although it's silly that it actually works).

I may give up the medic and spend my last few points in Architect. I get a structure assembly bonus for being Mon Calamari.

I think I will spend more time doing DE stuff than Weaponsmith, but I have sold a few guns and it should help. So many named resources needed for Weaponsmith, though...

Speaking of my combat droid, I wish I had some screens from my fun yesterday. I was checking my factory (2 lots away from my house) when a baby syck came from nowhere and incapped me. I ran into my house but he followed me and somehow got inside, then he incapped me again. He ended up stuck half way into the wall, facing out, and I was able to get my combat droid to kill him.

I am such a wimp, lol.

Master DE, Master Artisan, Master Architect, Novice Armoursmith, Merchant 4001, Crafting Mastery (Force Sensative).


Novice Armoursmith allows me to create battle segements, Architect and DE can complement each other, Master Artisan is a must!

The Merchant skills give me the ability to program my Merchant Barker and registersthe vendorson the planetary map as well as 4vendors with a 1250 item limit.

I'm also a human so Ihave 14pt Master Artisan exp which really helps in pup's and Artisan foods, which can sell just as well as a Master Chef items (Blob Candy and Spiced Tea sell well)

And zero points to spare
