Thread: Not only does customization not work right, but I can't tame any new droids
so basically if I just failed to tame a driod I just wasted 20k?
neat
Nope, the deed is still in your pack... you're just unable to get it to work.
Hopefully a fix is on the way.
Go make some noise about this here: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Development&message.id=666861 ... maybe they will actually listen for once.
They listened alright, and immediately locked the thread...how sad is that!?!
I also am unable to tame any droids I have made since the patch. I received the "you have to many pets" message and I deleted most of the pets out of my data pad and still got the message. I'm taking down my harvesters tonight and goin on sabbatical till these fools can get it right. I'm sorry, I've been patient up till now but these guys truly must be fools or they would have found most of these problems when it was on test server. I thought it could never be worse then EQ but they've proven me wrong.

Question for all who can't tame a droid, do you already have 2 live pets?
Reason I ask, is like the rest of you, I too cannot tame a droid, and a customer of mine, with 0 droids also could not. The one thing we did have in common however was living pet's on datapad, and I'm wondering if it's trying to count the bots in that same category?
This is no doubt a bug they can easily fix, but I'm not sure about the painting kit. I did observe a few things about that problem though. First, I was the only one who could see the custimization on the bot. Second, even though it vanished after storing and recalling, when I hit it with another color on the trim, the original paint job showed on the frame, so it is at least storing that info.
Net result is still the same though.. New patch, and nothing we got works, in fact it's worse than it was.

Hello
I have also had the same 'tame' problem, so I deleted all the droids in my datapad as they were only some R5 droids, and made some new ones. It then gave me the error message. However, I then crafted a Treadwell Droid, and it 'tamed' it for me and appeared in my datapad, I instantly tried the R5 and MSE droids but they had the same error message as before. So Treadwells are working...

I'm sick of these bugs so I brought this to the SWG Discussion forum in the hopes a dev may see it or it may get passed along.
If anyone would like to add the details to this problem please feel free to post:
