To be efficeint at making Seekers and Probes a Master DE needs to be a Master Artisan. A Master Doc does not have have enough skill points to master both the other two.

Exactly, you wouldn't need to have a second account to do it. Plus evne if you did have multiple accounts, you could play one while the other buffed. So then people would start doing it. Then once one person started doing it, it would snowball, because that persons buffs always being at full power would give a business edge. Eventually most of your Doc buff bots would be DE's as well.
Then we have a more complex problem. We now may have 2 or 3 times as many DE's on the server as we had before. However, these DE's don't really care about Droids at all. They simply did it because it made "good business sense." Many (wont say all,) may not have any interest in really making droids at all. However, they probably wouldn't be adverse to hitting some Markets like Probes or Seekers. Quite probably vastly undercutting normal prices. This would just be "bonus money," to them on top of their Doc money.
I'm not down on the idea, I'm just showing how something that actually looks so outstanding to DE's could actually hurt us badly.

"Is that sarcasm or do you really like being only one of a rare few who bother themselves with this profession?"
Yes, I like the fact that there are few players out there that bother themselves with this profession. My personal appeal for the class is not necessarily to make uber cash. It is the interaction that I like with my customers. I am content with the nitch that I had in the game way back when I first started playing (before I left) and I like the nitch that I have returned to. I do not want to become like the other professions where I HAVE to hunt for that extra 2 points in OQ just to be able to sell everything.
I know that I am a minority though and I do not have any notion in my mind that I am speaking for all DEs.
