All the hardcore crafters (ie: uber crafters, yes uber is like my word of the day) I know don't have medic skills. LOL I've met a few crafters who need the schematic storage (myself being one of them). When you ahve it, it makes life easier for you because you can do a lot of things you hadn't considered before. ie: make a schematic of 1000 items but only run off 100 at a time.

Poor Data module... why do people ignore you so? The Datamodules are a great repository for crafting schematics, perfect for clearing up your datapad!
Physical storage space is precious!!! Not every crafter can afford 3 small houses just to store all your components, sub components, factory crates, furniture, and kitchen appliances! If you make many small factory runs to conserve storage space like I do, you'll wind up with dozens and dozens of schematics saved up, ready for that next adventure in your factory!
Just take a look at this datapad! *** focus on a picture of a datapad overly cluttered with creature pets, a speederbike, a muzzle schematic, three droids, a GP module schematic, a backpack schematic, a bofa treat schematic, and an Advanced R3 Droid Chassis schematic ***
What a mess!
With the Ronco Data4 Module (tm)in your droid, you'll never worry about storage space again. Why fret about trying to find room for those 50 crates of Droid Batteries... Make 10 and keep that schematic! That should be your mantra... Come on audience, repeat after me. ~~~Keep that schematic!~~~

Heck, with the Ronco Data4 Module (tm) so handy, you could have 5 droids loaded with them. Have one for Medical schematics... one for Architect, one for Weapons, one for Molecular Clamps (void where probited by Galactic Law), and even one for your Grandma and her tasty Fishack's..... Mmmmm, Good!
And, coming soon! The Ronco Data6 Module (tm). As soon as Ronco Industries can locate some of that pesky Dioxis gas, your schematic woes will be a thing of the past!

As a BE I need a place to put all my crafting tools so when I die taking DNA samples they don't decay. I also use it to store my armor when I'm not using it so it doesn't decay when I die (I need 2 sets of clothing accessible at any time, hunting clothes and DNA gathering BE clothes). Considering it takes me 5 samples to make one pet - I get to craft wherever I am, and not have to run back home after I make an expensive trip to Endor, just to come back and get more DNA - I can make everything out in the field and come back with finished pets. The med module is important to me when going on hunting parties because I can heal and tend to wounds of others without pulling out a camp during battle. I like the extra data storage so I can see what the stats were on schematics I previously used, but won't be using again due to not having those resources anymore.
I don't want to get too involved with this, cause it might start a serious flame fest.... but whoever built that droid used the socket module exploit. ADV-Probots can hold two general modules. This model has four (Med6, Food/Chem, Data, Item6). Congrats on finding a droid useful for you, too bad the DE had to exploit to do it.

Add armor. Let simmer for about 90 seconds. Enjoy!
