No, not particularly.

I know you said one word, but I can't leave it at that. There are a few good points, but overall I found it weak and lacking, both in vision and in daring.

Taking a well-deserved vacation from his successful Droid Engineering business, Master Rho can be found puttering around the galaxy.

NO

the surgical droid stuff seems on track

The power droid stuff is ok

The Only DE combat stuff is LAME, we are not combatants, we make weapons for other people! Make it so!

But all people need to be able to have two droids out at one time so that their droids can repair and repower eachother.

They said nothing about NEWDROID CHASSIS

Kamakazi mouse droids? While inventive, they are hard to make and would have to do enough damage to almost unbalance them.

Surgical droid changes good, repair droid changes potentially good. All else bad. Where is the utility in the droids for the different professions? Why is medical use the best reason to have a droid?

Fix the Droids that are useless, and make them have specific functions before you add new stuff.

R-units should be astromech and maybe in the future a slicing assistant.

Sugrical Droids should perform minor surgery, slow wound and damage healing, way slower than a real medic.

Power Droids should be able to power anything that needs power.

Binary Load Lifters should 'Lift Loads', move house and the such.

Probots should probe. Seek out a target. Let you know where it is. Wait til you arrive then distract it while you attack it.

Protocol Droids should regulate protocal. Collect tips for musicans/bands. Periodically announce advertisements. Or announce a medics (or anyone of any use) in a hospital.

LE Repair Droids should Repair other droids and vehicles.

Treadwell should perform stucture maintainance.

MSE should be couriers. Deliver items to customers, act as guides through 'mazes or dungeons'.

In addition to R series acting as astromechs and autopilot/nav, humanoid droids may be equipped with piloting skills.

Of course almost every droid could be equipped with secondary modules, like medical, data and storage.

If I missed any forgive, if you hate these ideas I don't care. As much as SOE wants this to be pokeman please please please make the Droids resemble their real functions in the Star Wars Universe.

There's too little info about the power droid changes to make a decision about it. How does it add power? From a store you supply it with or from it's internal generator? How much extra maintenance will we be spending? IOW what incentive is there to attach an expensive power droid to a single harvestor and pay more maintenence vs dumping 10K power in once a week when I move the harvestor?

Okay, I lied, multiple droids out is good but I'd love to know what the difference(difficulty) is between having multiple droids out and having multiple creature and faction pets out?

reason: their vision forDE is greatly flawed in terms of allowing us to have combat droids only for DE, building off an already poorly designed idea.

Was that a plan? Thought it was someone just talking off the top of their heads.

With that said... I would have to say No just because they didnt give us enough information to completely understand all of the ideas posted in it. I see a few good possiblities in it though, just needs to be fleshed out more so we all understand what exactly they are talking about.

Short explanation, even though it wasn't asked for: The 'Plan' represents a near-total disconnect between issues/priorities/suggestions made on these forums, and SOE's interpretations of those ideas. Regardless of everyone's individual opinions on combat droids, modules, etc., I think it's safe to say that the 'Plan' is a 95% distortion any ideas, suggestions, or prioritizationsposted throughout this forum.

there are many questions that still need to be answered, so I cannot say yes even tho I like some of the ideas in the proposed plans.

I'm not a Droid Engineer . Hopefully you all will respect my opinion anyway , I have been playing since Beta .

From my understanding , the only thing that is being implemented for making a more useful combat droid is slapping " combat modules " - whatever the hell that means - into existing droids . Errrrm ... excuse me ? The dev's realize that every droid craftable now dies within 2 minutes of combat now , right ? So does this mean DE's can slap combat modules into what .... R2 chassis ? What ????

NEW DROID COMBAT CHASSIS NEEDED . If they put in that silly one pet no matter what for non CH's , who in their right mind would pick out their Probot over a Dark Trooper , or even one of those stupid Coward Gurreks ? Man so out of touch it's ridiculous .

The whole DE concept in this game is so out of whack it's ridiculous . I was once in a "hopeless" profession , actuallly twice . DE in Beta and Ranger in release , so I realize the bond you DE's have and I truly hope your gaming experience gets better soon . My wish for you is that your profession is solely responsible for crafting and fixing vehicles when they make it into the game , and that the whole droid concept gets worked into this game in an ACCEPTABLE manner sometime soon

Good luck all and I'll keep up the pity tips I know it's makes your days .

Peace

Max
