Respectfully,
I like these ideas. I'm not too fond of the combat Treadwell. I like Mabinoji's idea for droid classification.
The droids used in the war on Geonosis on ep. 2 were too vehicle-like. Maybe in the future they could be implemented, but I think they belong on battlefields only for now.
I think trying to add too many new droid chassis at one time will drag things out too long for my patience. Art assets take a long time. I would very much like to see droideka and combat droids, but we also need color customization and naming to work properly and probably a "droid only" name filter that allows numbers. This will help us to individualize the few chassis types we have now.
I like the idea of level caps on lower skill level droids and type-specific module slots the different droids.
And after much thought, I think I do like the MSE bomb idea. It would be fun. The MSE would of course remain a low level droid, but the bomb module would be a high level skill. It could be a tie-in to Commando
Please for for the love of a IG-88 tell us there are more droid chassy's. Have we not been Sucker Puched enough? A treadwell combat droid??
Simple fix IMO: Tell the CH Dev his job has changed and get him to put his talents to the true Pet Class of Star Wars.
My heart truly sank when I read Treadwell Combat Droid: ![]()

Everyone is forgetting to also include Droids as a component in other schematice.
Totally ignored or just too much in one discussion. I think more emphasis should be placed on what most people are saying, the type of droid says it all. Surgical - medical, Power - well??, Repair - Repair.
As for the R series they can be anything, but provide a way for them to slice terminals or something as such.
Same with the protocols. But have them collect money to enter a house, or vendors. If you only have basic merchant skills you should be able to buy a protocol droid to hire as a vendor to place in your house. Artisans get a droid vendor at Bus IV, why can't you put a vendor module in a protocol droid and a personality chip to use as a vendor.
I still think that you can open the door to success by making droids required ingredients for City halls, Shuttle ports or even have a Power up Structure.
If this thread is all about make believe anyway let's really get some ideas reguarding this.
Besides, I would be estatic if even the simplist of things were fix in our profession yet alone any one of TKs ideas (BTW all of them good)
TK421 you have way too much time on your hands.....

I haven't had time to read the whole thread et, but I will.
I do include in Droids being used for ONLY their specific functions. What good is a Surgical Droid when you can make a Probot do the same exact thing?
Great work TK. I agree with almost everything here. But I also agree with Rho... I don't think treads should be combat capable.
Havent read every post here, so I'll comment later.
cheers...
Okay..so, we need to move the Treadwell out of the 'combat' category.
I envision that these will take on new life possibly in relation as a "Vehicular Maintenance" droid extraordinaire.

I'd have no wayto answer. How about before year's end?!?
Estimated HAM?
Maybe 500-600? (Adv. model might be 800-1000)
Estimated Min/Max Damage? Does it require a WS?
I think these would require 1 WS part. As for damage, maybe 75-100 for the base model and 100-150 for Adv.? These numbers would get messed with over time no matter what, I suspect.
Probot..
Increase in HAM?
Yes, please. I'd like to see experimentation give you HAM between 800-1000
Increase in Min/Max Damage?
Yes, please. Take this to 85-125, dependent upon experimentation.
Droideka..
Implemented when?
Apparently in the next 4 months. Outside of that, who knows?!?
Ham and all that I would rather be suprised..
HAM = 1500-2000
Dmg = 200-300
