Thread: They locked the thread.
I just wanted to stop in and say good fight everyone. Sintrosi you've went above and beyond the call of duty, but we are simply wasting our time on SOE. I have had an active account since day one, but as of the 27th of this month I will no longer be a SWG subscriber.
I have redeeded all my harvesters, my factory, and my house. I have shut down my shop. I am done with SOE and I will never buy another product they make. I went through EQ back when hybrids had twice the experience as regular class's and now I'm done with being a Droid Engineer.
It is obvious to me now that the intention was to lure customers into playing SWGdangling the jedi carrot in there faces.While being a Jedi would be a novelty I was dead set on being a Droid Engineer. What a mistake. I am not aware of a more broken class then the DE profession. I was two skill bubbles from Master DE and I was having enough trouble selling droids.
I should have been a Creature Handler with the developers constantly coddling them they are guarenteed to always be a viable class. On the other hand our developer Q-3PO is not only not reading our boards, but is more then likely playing a CH now.
So who all is done with SWG? Please post here if you cancelled your account or intend to in the future. The only way to make SOE pay attention to DE's is to hit them in the wallet. The closing of Sintrosi's thread was the final blow for me. No where in that thread was the anything even remotely vulgar and it is simply a sign of things to come when SOE blatantly close's threads it does not approve of.

Did you read the response? He claimed there was vulgar langauge in the thread. There was none of that. He is simply angy and is acting on his anger. That's not professional.
Like I said in a previous thread, I got banned this afternoon from the forums for bumping, and trying to continue our efforts in another thread, after our first one got locked. Got no warning for the ban, which really sucks. Anyway, just got access again after talking with a CSR. I just redeeded everything ingame, and plan on taking a few days off to decide if I want to continue playing. Right now really frustrated.
You people just need to calm the hell down.
There is more to the world than Droid Engineering in SWG ya know.

**edit**ing bastards. Really, I want to give SOE my money for this game, but outright abuse like this will make me go somewhere else. Funcom at least knows how to admit that they're wrong, and knows how to fix classes.
Yes there is way more to the world than some stupid profession in a pointless video game. Likeyour job,family, and money. Of course, we are sacrificing our money and time (which could have been used for stuff like job or family) for this game. In return, we expect something that is of high quality. Instead, we pretty much get crap. So it is like you're throwing away both your time and money, expecting enjoyment and entertainment, and you're getting nothing at all back, only frustration. We aren't getting what we paid for (and are continuing to pay for, EVERY month), and that is a very legitimate and serious complaint, in my opinion.

As a person who is not a DE but loves droids and wishes they were fixed I am 100% behind the DE profession on this. What the devs and thier reps are doing is utterly ridiculous and out of control. They're playing the ignore game with a whole profession and nothing good can come of it. If I were the DE correspondent here I would resign in disgust and if I were a DE I would refuse the position so that the DE class would have no correspondent in protest until the position actually matters, because it's pointless without devs paying attention. Then people could ask "why is DE the only profession without a correspondent" and it would increase publicity of this whole issue.
I guess the Devs are too busy sucking up to crying entertainers to give a crap about real issues atm...
