Thread: staying or going?
I'm staying. I still get a kick when someone buys one of my droids, and I always /cheer when the customer tames it (so I can paint it). ![]()
I may run a factory run of my MedMax6 Advanced R2 units, since they're the only thing I can sell... I mean sheesh, I've got over 100 unsold seekers and Arakyds lying around...

I'm giving the devs one last try.
I was developing my second account as a crafter, and one of the trades was to be a DE (he's 4/4/0/4 now). Afterwatching the forums here for the last few days keeping an eye on the droid changes coming, and seeing the fascist (and I can quote Merriam-Webster's definition, it fits) attitude displayed by the PR community empowered by SOE, I am going to go home and;
1)change to Chef, at least they have a function
2)decide on cancelling. This is an entertainment venue, and I find very little entertainment in being harrased byrepresentatives of a companyfor voicing displeasure over a product I am paying to access. Dollars are getting harder to come by, without paying to be abused.
I appreciate those who hang in there, but in all seriousness, I have to question your sanity. I do, however, wish you well. Good luck.
As I said before, one of my DE's is long gone, and the other is waiting to see if Runesabre delivers..and indeed what he delivers.
But it has to be said it isn't looking good thus far.
I'm gonna try and stick to pub 8...But at this rate, it won't happen. If DE flops...I'm outta the game. I've tried everything else, and I'm done tryin so hard to like something I'm paying for. I'm in this game for my friends and family that play too...But even that will only stretch it so far. I've been a Star Wars addict since age 5 when I got my first Darth Vader figure...that I still have. This game has burnt me to the point I slapped in Ep 4 last night...and it actually depressed the crap out of me, it's back in a box that hasn't been opened since game launch.
Thanks SOE. you've done something that my family, the 'cool kids' at school never managed to do..You've completely and totally turned me off on Star Wars. I'm floatin around till pub 8..Last chance guys, and then it's 2 more accounts down the crapper with the other few thousand you've burnt out.
Anyone else stickin it out...best wishes for the lot of ya. Here's hopin SOE can get their thumbs out of their cornholes long enough to give us all a reason to stick it out..mebbe I'll be seein ya around. But it's getting less and less likely.

I gave up MDE yesterday. I'd planned on being one for quite some time, but the way things have been going, and are scheduled to go turned me completely off. I wish all of you the best.
I almost feel as though you would all be better off with leaving things as they are and just ask them to fix the current problems.
It seems as though you keep asking for solution A, and they come back and tell you that based on your wishes, they are giving you solution B... which is something you never even asked for.
I hope you all get well taken care of in the end. I just feel that things are going in the wrong direction, and I don't want to ride that train.
I suppose I'll still have to endure the sight of ferocious R3 droids blasting their way around... even though I won't be building any... or buying any for that matter.
Best wishes
Would love to do that, if it worked, but it doesn't. We've made that suggestion (the suggestion of "How about NO new content and just fixGorantoth's bugs instead?")countless times before as well. It all falls on the same deaf eyeballs.
The reality is that for all the advances they made in the SWG engine from the EQ engine, the pundits are right: droids were an afterthought. How else can one explain how universally difficult it is to get SOE to do anything about droids because it is either too hard or too game-imbalancing? Click on a droid deed and get "3) Tame". Any questions?
(And yes I know they fixed that one in the upcoming publishes. A blinding 9 months later. Imagine all the programming and code check-ins that were required to make THAT happen! Boggles the imagination.)

In that regard, we are WAY harder on them than they would likely prefer. I think that's good. We need to hold their feet to the fire by calling them to the carpet on issues.
