Are you saying the droid actually gives a bit of a bonus to the trapping skill? Cause I can occasionally trap a krayt, although it doesn't last long.

Well, I guess what I meant was that the trapping skill of the droid was tied to you. I believe there to be a slight bonus not in what you can trap, but how effective your trap is against the ones you can trap. Now, I have never been a Master Ranger...but if you say you can have a trap affect a Krayt, I'll believe you. That statement was made to mean that a Novice scout would not be able to trap a Krayt

Hello,

Hi

If you put more than one trapping module in a droid, can you put more than one kind of trap loaded into the droid?

No, only one type of trap at a time.

If only one type of trap can be loaded no matter how many trapping modules, what is the benefit of multiple trapping modules?

Right now we're not positive, but ideally the increased trapping bonus will allow you to more effectively trap creatures.

Thank you,

Same thing I said for the creature harvest module. Please please make sure you can put this in droid that can semi keep up with the speed of a Swoop (like the CAT skin for CH/BE). I am not going to bother if I have to call, to group, to set the droid before every single mission lair.

you can put it in any droid you want, though some droids have more room than others. Not sure how well any of them will keep up with your swoop though. I really don't think 15 seconds is a big deal, it generally takes me at least that long to get an idea of what all is at the lair/mission, figure out where things are, and get in position.

The functionality of this module looks nice, if we now just would get traps that someone besides a really rare minority uses after having those boxes that need trapping XP filled :/.

I was a master ranger for quite a while, and I went for long periods of time without throwing a trap. *But*, I think this is in part due to the fact that traps come in very small stacks, so one could not easily macro them without restocking toolbar slots all the time. With this module, there will finally be a one-button trap throw macro option, plus it won't interfere with your combat queue.

Having a droid full of Phecnacine Darts (tranqulizer, slow effect) or Glow wire (easier to hit in combat) could be a real help for some groups or individuals, so traps could be making a comeback with this module.

a guy asked me today about this same thing. I'm bringing it up again to see if this has been changed in any way.

Can different types of traps be loaded into the same droid? If so, can the droid be given seperate commands to toss the different types of traps? Thanks guys/gals!

I have a probably stupid question. Are the traps loaded by stack or do they need to be loaded individualy?

Supposedly you can use either (a) drag and drop, or (b) an option on the trap's radial menu (the trap, not the droid).

Since I am prety sure you cannot split a stack of traps, a better question (and maybe what you meant) is can we load in crates of traps, or do we have to load in the stacks one by one?

Also, how does the droid skill compare to ranger trapping skills?

Traps are loaded in via drag and drop by the stack (I don't get a radial menu loading option). Can't use crates. If a stack won't fit in the storage, it will split automagically and put the overage in your inventory.

My impression is that the droid doesn't have its own trapping ability, but that it is a modifier to the owner's ability (like the harvester droid). But, I have no evidence to back that up, so I could be completely wrong.

Trap droids are pretty durn handy... No action cost and no interrupt in your combat queue makes them a significant improvement over chuckin' em by hand. Plus, having inventory open or restocking toolbar slots all the time to throw traps got really annoying. The downside is only being able to load one sort of trap. It'd be ideal if each module could hold a different type, and have a different command.
