Yeah, to most people these are a real waste of money. However, they can be extremely usefull while trying to take a base. Especially if all of the defenders are concentrated protecting the entrance. Sending a couple of these inside the base walls and setting them off will do considerable damage to everyone. They are a tool for specific purposes. High HAM needed to get the droid close enough to actually do some damage.

Ok here is the skinny on the 50k damage which is possible.

If you are Overt and not actively engaged in PVP you can detonate the droid and it will do 50k of damage to the turret. If you are engaged in PVP then PVP reduction kicks in.

Was it intended this way?

like my last post . Anyways I built a r3 6 modules in it 53 power and it hit a mutant rancor with light armor for 5k on health which is a third of its health.Havent tested it on a turret yet need more time for that.Btw my modules are coming out at 80 % . Anyone hit 10 power on a module yet?

my modules are 9.6. yes, i know the game only shows you the 9 in the examine window, but I know the other 0.6 is there because I am able to stack them to gether to get an R3 with 58 detonation rating.

Hmm well it would appear that the R3 bomb is a complete waste of money - though very interesting to know the details

I'm happy with my 6.5k damage on Gurks...PvP is of no interest to me whatsoever under the current rules..in fact I think it's merely silly boys games

unfortuanetly not. its not the increase in power that matters, its the 4500 HAM with armor.

Im really hating wasting chasis on these...but its going to be a big seller. of all the new toys, the detonation look like they are going to end up being the most desired. Providing they dont get nerfed.

yup. My BH customers are buying these things to hunt jedi. The Advanced Mouse is a better tradeoff in terms of cost per unit of detonation power, but when you absolutely have to do as much damage as possible in the shortest possible time, and money is not an issue, the R3 bomb is looking to be a potent little bugger.

Are you sure it wasn't the droid brains?

what a coincidence... my modules are 9.6 as well..... 1000oq tolium helps that out
along with 994oq inert gas, and some copper that is 945cd/952oq... i could get 9.9 if i had some of the 990+oq/cd copper that spawned in the very beginning, but that stuff is so expensive and rare that it wouldnt be worth blowing up
