Notes say "Added New Schematic for Droid Repair Tool" which means to me that there was a Droid Repair Tool and they Added a New Schematic to replace the old one. Especially since the old one did not work. My understanding from other Dev posts that this Repair Tool is supposed to heal damage on droids. I guess we just need to visit the TC and test it.

TM is right. There is already a schematic for Droid Repair Tool, which is craftable at Engineering II. I guess they thought it would be more fun to add another schematic than fix the one they already had in game. They probably didn't even know it existed.

We already had the schematics - the things didn't work. Does this mean they'll work? That isn't clear.

Darth this is a major fix. Granted adding real Combat Droids would be good, but this one should help alot. My understanding is the droid repair kit will heal damage on droids. This means that a Probot with droid repair kits will be better than non-CH pets with pet stims.

Get ready to mass produce Probots and Droid Repair kits. I think Probots are going to start selling again.

Ah but there is a nerf.

**Fixed crafting manufacture schematic limit to 100**

So... now instead of doing a factory run of EMM of 100 and GP of 300 to make a real factory run of 100 Probe Droids. we can do an AWESOME (sarcasm) run of ... 33.

This is simply dumb.

The workaround on this is dumb too, 3 diff GP runs so that you load 3 diff types of crates into factory. Yukko.

I don't understand the nerfing of factory runs, why should there be an upper limit on schematics, there is already a cap on resources. There will only be a finite amount of a given resource; why would it make sense to add an additional limit on factories. Do they want us to make these fool
Bounty hunter droids by hand?

Ok, let's move into real life for a second - do you really think they needed a new schematic to make the droid repair kit to work?

Look, I'm coming across badly, I like this game. I just wish I knew I wasn't wasting time with DE, and by the sounds of these patches, it doesn't sound like they're making much progress.

Reality:

1) They added a new Droid Data Storage Module schematic when they were fixing Droid Data Storage.

2) They added a new Droid Item Storage Module schematic when they were fixing Droid Item Storage.

So whats the difference here?

I'll have to take your word for the fact that they changed the schematics of those modules, but assuming they did, does that really sound necessary?

A side note, I don't recall a change in data storage module schematics when they removed the ability for CHs to store pets in them. Maybe I missed it.

Another interesting question will be if these "new" droid repair kits are still craftable by artisans, or if it actually requires a DE. If it's still an artisan product, then it doesn't really help our profession a whole lot.

  • Added new schematics for droid repair kits

ARRRG! Why don't the devs ever read our issues???. We ALREADY HAVE droid repair kits, they just don't work! Now we will have two broken schematics.

  • Fixed super-annoying bug with pet control devices which prevented the 'CALL' option menu from showing up for several seconds

I'm sure this wasfixed for the **edit** handlers, not us, we don't even have it in our current issues list.

  • Fix for a few droids and droid schematics were not granting XP for their being crafted.

Woooa fix. Probably just correcting a value in a couple of database records. Why don't they tweak the HAM on the probot and DZ70 while they are at it?

  • Now a pet droid won't ever have any armor unless it was crafted onto it.

Has anyone EVER seen this? How about fixing the problem with droids with armor loosing it when crossing a server boundary, this bug affects many more people than this obscure one.

The worst thing is, this patch is still 2 weeks away, and we won't see any fixes to our profession until after this patch is released. Atleast BEs got some fixes in this patch, but us DEs areleft at the bottom of the pile.

The frustration felt today is symbolic of something more - the feeling we DE's have of literally, being on the bottom of the priority list. We're all so desperate for any kind of sign; even those that calmly sit waiting, confident that in the long run DE's will get the love and attention they deserve (like I did until this point), come to the realization that if SOE can't take the time to communicate any of their DE intentions, they sure the heck aren't magically fixing our profession in the background.

We need a sign, anything! What is the state of affairs concerning Droid Engineers? Are you looking at ways of fixing the profession, or is this a low priority at the moment? Our numbers may be few, but you can rest assured that if we continue along as mushrooms, I won't be the only one cancelling my account.

Me too! Like the factory crate issue. They said that factory crates can now be used in factory input hoppers, and this has been the case for several weeks.

Yesterday they said that someone had to translate hundreds of pages of technical notes into something that we users could understand. It sounds to me like this may be a translation problem. It might very well be that to fix the Droid Repair Tool, they had to add a new schematic at a techinal level, but that this would be invisible to players, who would simply now see a 'working' Droid Repair Tool.

I'm just guessing.
