I agree, it removes one of the core abilities of a Ranger. It also is the exact problem of a DE Hybrid, but reversed. Adding crafting ability to a combat class. Would be nice, but I doubt it. My suggestion to you CH pushing it, dont get too invested unless a Dev says otherwise.
