My 2 credits...

Grind Architect to 0/4/4/1 and make your own harvesters...I was able to grind Architect to that lvl in about 2 weeks of average play time(so far Architect is by far the easiest grind I have done if you do Gungan Head statues)...then harvest your own resources...it's much cheaper plus you can sell Acrhitect items along the way although it will take time away from your DE grind so it depends how fast you want MDE..theres a trade off but either way if you want to be a crafter/DE type character then if you can't handle the grind for the 0/4/4/1 in Architect, well thats a good indication you wont enjoy being a DE. Reaching MDE definatley requires persistance and the right personality to enjoy it. I am now a MDE with a fleet of heavy harvesters and fusion generators that I made myself plus I made some money along the way selling architect items(my Architect skill points are maxed at 240000 now also ; ). I'm about to drop architect and use the skill points for something else now!!! Also, I found using a mouse with a button programed for double-click extremely lowered my grinding time.

The even more expensive, but quicker way is to use Binary Load Lifter Chassis. This requires some factory runs in advance and a LOT of Duranium Steel ... I had the luxury of a pretty padded bank account from my mining business though. Anything that reduces the amount of RL time to grind to Master is usually worth it.
