Thread: Vehicles are Droids
Quite simply put, the lack of new content, basic content, and its debatable about quality content (if you look at the potential for this profession, the present state of droids are pretty much pitiful) is reason enough for me to be a little bitter about droid engineers not even getting to build a part required for a vehicle. I also think its ridiculous that they don't require any of the other master artisan parts (energy distributor for one). Engineer IV didnt need help, didnt need a boost, we do. It's time to move droids a bit higher on the priority list, or tell us why they arent. I love this game, no matter what droids do, I'll still build them. I'm a stubborn person, my mind is made up - If all they do is follow me, I'll still build/have them (heck, they don't even follow me part of the time, you look around, and they are stuck 1200 meters away
). That doesn't mean that I like being neglected by the devs patch after patch. I find myself playing my other characters more and more. Droids have the MOST potential to lift this game to greatness - for all our sakes, if a dev reads this, please think about it.

Bounty Hunter isn't an Elite class, it's a Hybrid class.

Ummm...if memory serves BH requires both master scout and master marksman....I'm not sure about others.
Thats just semantics, its a tree above basic trees, therefore it is elite.
We do make propulsion systems though! Think about it.The only difference between a probot and a swoop bike is a brainand a round doughnut-like shape. Probots even have extending handlebars coming out of the top of them already!.
But what lowlife one-starred this post?
Actually, there is a difference between elite and hybrid classes, and to call anything above basic professions "elite" seems a bit shortsighted.
Elite professions are specializations. Narrowing your focus from what you learn in a general craft and becoming an expert at an element or two still fully contained within the basic profession.
Hybrid professions require a deep understanding of more than one basic profession, sometimes to mastery of two, but it is the mingling of both skillsets that allows that person to advance in a new direction.
I have no problem with Vehicles leading to a future profession (starship designer maybe?).
My post was simply pointing vehicles to the most logical "Current" profession. Either way, I'll buy or build one as soon as they come out. They look realy fun. ![]()
Ranger would be classed as an Elite profession right? That requires Master Scout. And doesn't Doctor require Master Medic?
So by the logic of some of you, Personal Extractors shouldn't be in the artisan boxes, Bone armor shouldn't be in the artisan boxes, and CDEF weapons shouldn't be in the artisan boxes....
These are STARTING VEHICLES, and even if they weren't, they have nothing to do with DE. NOTHING. We make droids, not vehicles.
And I don't want charity, I want droids to do what droids are supposed to do, assist us in our daily lives.
These beginning vehicles are right where they belong; Engineering IV.

The current mounts we have are also "STARTING" or beginner mounts. Why werent they put in a beginning profession? You "Beginner" logic doent hold water.
Because a creature trained as a mount isn't a "starting" pet. A creature trained by a mount has to be cultivated and allowed to grow before it can serve as one.
Also, again, the simplest of harvesters, armor, and weapons are placed in the Engineering tree. Why is this different?
