Thread: Creature Handlers Finally Feel Our Pain...Hell Has Frozen Over
yet another chnerf but this one was heavier than the first big one!
nearly no ch xp for all kills exept u have an combatprofession additional (all ch are forced to use one pet because 2 give alot less xp and are weaker). and CH can only call pets that are able to kill something on other planets than the startingplanet when nearly master.
im goingfor CH master and DE master, first i played mainly CH to 3/3/3/4 but now istoped it and only play DE as DEs can now achiev much more than a CH (XP and money)
any profession that would enable 1 player with one or two pets to do what wouldtake a group of 10 plus players to acheieve of various other professions needed a swift reality check - im glad they did this sooner rather than later.
What really got me was the power of non-CH pets - even with my best pistol i couldnt take out stuff my rock beetle could - simply having him along made every solo mission i could possibly choose trivial - now with my new level 10 pet missions are a test of skill and tactics rather than just click pet attack and craft while he kills

/agree
On the topic of CH nerfing in generally, I'd like to add, thoughtfully, as follows:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! *hack* *couph*
I wish it were the delete button, rather than a nerfso I could say good ridance to this awesome profession that has NO place in SWG.
Anchorhead was a mess last night as bug-ridden vehicles would not store and people left them there in town, burning, smoking and crackling as they decayed. It wasn't a pleasant sight (or smell), but, hey, at least it was a junk yard of repulsorlift vehicles and not a friggin' zoo!

Please post this comment when grouping is actually worth doing, and doesn't cause me to lose experience, ok? Oh, and also, post it when my GSP doesn't get reverse kited by mobs with funky skeletons like bol's.
Speaking as a master CH / master BE, I certainly wouldn't say that CH has been nerfed with the new patch. The max number of stored pets has more than doubled, the number of available pet options has sky-rocketed thanks to the BE improvements, and (most importantly) I don't have to see 8 million cowardly gurrecks running around by a bunch of non CH's. Now if they'd only fix the DE bugs for my other character..... ![]()
As a former MasterCH (currently 2,2,4,4)with great respect for the pain DEs are feeling, I can honestly tell you I hope you people one day get the kind of flexibility thats just been handed to the BE's. What you are hearing is the howls of the dabblers that arediscovering that focusing on just a few skill boxes of our profession will not grant you a powerful tank. With the new BE pets though, even low level pets will be worth something tonew CHs because of their customizability. I'd REALLY like to see that level of oppotunity given to the DE profession. It might give these howlers a reason to leave our already abused profession the hell alone and throw you guys a tidal wave of business.
Its great the dabblers are losing out. CH , as I mentioned, is a really cool profession. It belongs in EverQuest, not SWG, however, and really ruins the "illusion of star wars reality" for me and many others. Nerfed or not, it is true that CH is out of place and out of porportion in SWG.

/shrug CH is still 10 x better than DE.
Note that Im also a DE on Starsider, not bashing the profession just stating the facts.
