Thread: Pricing on a Adv R-3 with +104 harvesting
I believe 120 is the highest (modules max at 20, and you can have 6)
Someone on my server got real lucky and made some 115's ![]()
I haven't been charging more than $65k for any droid of mine. 100-150k is outrageous in my mind. Try to seek someone else out to build that droid for ya.

My alt is a master DE and I am selling them for that, when you are somone like my me, master swordman/master doctor, I have just enough points left to get novice scout and hunting 1. Well this droid will almost double my harvesting, and on rancors selling meat at 10cpu, 1 rancor can net me 10k or more.
That is how I and other DE's on my server look at it.
I have seen others selling in that range also.
Just trying to help out the fellow DE's charge more!

well Personally i charge 15-25k for a basic r4 with a harvesting module. not the greatest but its useful.
im gonna start making r3s once i start factorying out the ADV. Droid Brains.
but most droids i sell begin at 20k and work their way up depending on modules.
combat droids are the most expensive. with 2 level 6 armor and 5 combat modules *3 in a cluster* and 2 in the slots, i sell them for 100k. the rating is usually between 400-450. and the HAM is always above 4k.
I used to charge 60k, but I'm just trying to get people to come out to my vendor, since I don't see very much volume.
I've got a couple custom orders that people *still* haven't picked up yet. *sigh*

First off, try getting in contact with someone near Coronet. Like, a building owner in the first row of houses to the S of coronet. OR a popular player city. Many people are willing to allow you access to their building to set up a vendor. I have had booming success since I have moved into a popular player city.
About the non-retrieved custom orders...hehe, everyone has those problems. I usually send them an email and tell them they have 2 days to retrieve their product. After that it is going on my public vendor. That either gets them to pick it up or you get to sell it anyway.

Kollos im confuses...way i see it... if its and R3 advanced with 6 modules is automatically going for 60k simply for the convenience of having 6 modules in one and the sheer cost of making it.
The best i can make on our server (ahazi) is +103 and thats with durogop, emif, and hico....all extremely expensive resources...i would have to sell that for no less than 65k, whether its effective or not.
I charge 18k for the base R3 chassis. That's better than 10 CPU and you can use total crap resources for everything involved. So there's a decent profit margin built into the base chassis.
Harvester modules use what, 140 resources? So even at 20 CPU - which is plenty to cover Durogop, Emif, and Hico - they'd only cost you 2800 each, right? So if you charge a 50% markup - remember these things are trivial to make - that's a retail price of 4200 per module.
4200 x 6 modules is just over 25k for the modules. 25k + 18k is 43k. I tend to round down a bit simply because my location is out in the toolies, so I need to be priced lower to convince people to come to me.
I also price based on supply and demand. If I'm charing 42k and I can't keep 'em in stock, then I'll raise my price. I charge more for items on my Kaadara vendor because it gets a lot more traffic (it is a mere 550 meters SW of the shuttleport on the coast).

That droid would run about 42k using my pricing scheme. I've been selling slightly less capable (+98) droids for 36k so far, but am going to stop making those and switch to the better ones soon.

im selling my +99 R3's for 65k and people are buying like 3 and 4 at a time...
id like to better learn your pricing system because as for now im just kinda making up prices and sticking to them...
10k per module whatever it is
and 1-10k per chassis
and i dont charge more or less for level 6 armor..if its going to be in combat at all ill put in L6 armor at no extra cost
i dont wanna be caught charging 50% more than other DE's for equal quality droids
Double?? lol, not even close.

If you use the droid you will almost double your harvest, when you can get 10+cpu for good Rancor meat... well an hour will pay for a 125k droid.
listen guys you gotta not look at this as a blanket statment.
"I only get one more unit of hide or meat per harvest with my droid"
"I get double the meat/hide per kill with the droid!"
Both statements are false and both statements are possibly correct. The ability of the droid is directly related to the scout skill of the person. I havn't MET anyone with only novice scout to test it out with but i bet the "double" comment isnt to far fetched. Everyone who has tested it with the 4 scouting boxes has found the droid relativly useless. This droids is NOT for them!!! It's for the MD/MTK who can only spare 15 pts on the novice box!!! This is NOT a present for scouts and rangers and ch's!!! They CAN use it but its not gonna have the power. Also there are CRAPPY level scouting droids and HIGH level ones!! this is not a black and white issue!
