Hello Droid Engineer community.... I'm a MBH and just in search ofan answer to a simplequestionreally. I'm looking for a droid that is the best possible tank. I don't know the specifics of your profession, modules, types, etc. But what I'd like to know is which droid should I get if I want one that will stay alive the longest? Damage output doesn't matter to me...in fact I dont care if it does any at all.

So, what type of droid should I ask for and what/how many modules should I ask be put in?

P.S. - if there's any Ahazi DE's reading this and willing to do a special order, or if you already have what i'm seeking in stock, let me know.

Thanks all,

Sorry for some of the confusion above hehe.

The answer you seek is an R3 ADV with 5 autorepair modules - that is without doubt the best tank there is when combined with a few uses as needed of Droid Stims of the highest quality you can find.

The LE is far too slow, does not have ranged combat and is not the tank everyone thinks it is.

Try them out..you are a BH eh? buy both an R3 and an LE....it wont break your bank and see for yourself because in the end its down to your choice, with due regard to WHAT you are fighting. As an example (in my experience anyway) the R3 and a Pistols4 player can solo a large faction base with ease, change the R3 to an LE and you use far more droid stims simply because it gets hit so much on the way to the melee target. Set the R3 to ranged combat and you can look after it as needed..but really it needs no looking after .. if you are tactically aware.

There is a new skill to using droids, its not just as simple as typing 'A' and thats that. Know when to withdraw, and remember the R3 will withdraw fast, the LE will shufffle slowly.

Droid combat is much more complex now, especially with line of sight issues.

Oh, and never forget, the autoheal will heal other droids as well for the same amount every 10 secs, so 2 players with 2 droids are more than doubly effective....much more!

Most I have seen together is 5 tanking R3's, and it is truely a sight to behold.

Hope that helps

I have both types of tanks (the LE and the Probot) on my vendor near theed at
-4110, 3411. If neither of those is to your liking email Oteb and I will be happy to do a special order.

good luck. he is likely to drop fast in the geo caves... but maybe if their are enough droids with auto-repair he might just survive long enough to be some help.

Buy some good D repair kits too...you'll probably need them while you down there...

Hey Thrasia, like some have said either a Le Repair with 6k ham 2 auto heal, 1 combat or an R3 with 4500 ham 5 auto repair and 1 combat module are the best for tanking.

I would personally go for the R3 as they will heal more. Get a group with each person using droids like these and you can tank some pretty tuff things.

I have the R3's on my vendor waypoint is in my sig. I'm waiting on getting a part needed to make the armor for the LE repair then I will have those available as well. My droids are HAWT too so you won't be disappointed

I also have batteries and repair D's on my vendor by the crate and you would not want to forget those with a droid like this as they are pretty much required.

Thanks for the info DE community.

After reading all this info over, it looks as if what I want is the R3 w/ 1 attack mod, and 5 auto-heals. Dont care about damage output, dont care about xp gain anymore.

I'm really just looking for a little something extra to help me in the Geo caves and the new Death Watch Bunker. I figure if I put together a solid group, and we all have these droids we'll be that much more effective. Thanks again, and myself and guildmates will be visiting HAWT droids for some R3's
