Thread: Safe to stack med modules?
I don't stack anything except for item modules, because on my server the best that can be made right now is Level 4. And I always warn the customers that it may not last.
Stacking is certainly going to be disabled. The way the deed system works, I don't think it will be retroactive, but one never knows.
As a master, I hope they fix it soon - novices shouldn't be able to make a droid act like a level 6 med mod - otherwise what's the point of being a master?

Ok -- here are some facts for all those people calling "bull**edit**" and "exploit"
Fact #1: You CAN get a module cluster to display a medical rating above 110, but when the final droid is crafted, it drops back to 110 -- e.g. I had a module cluster with 3 nested module clusters, each having 3 level 4 medical modules in it. The MODULE CLUSTER displayed a Medical Rating of 275, when installed in a droid, final product had 110.
Fact #2:Being able to put module clusters into standard module slots is a bug/exploit
Fact #3:Being able to "embed" module clusters inside each other, due to #2, is a bug/exploit
Fact #4: Module ratings stacking *is* working as intended, the reason it appears to be such an exploit is due to #2 and #3. If you couldn't put clusters into standard module slots, then you wouldn't be able to walk around with every droid having Medical Rating 110 anda crafting station, only those droids that use module clusters could have that. Even then, those upper droids would be sacrificing Data Modules or Item Storage Modules due to slots being used up to "stack" the medical modules.
It's a give and take relationship, there is a cost involved in the stacking of modules which shows that it is working as intended. The only problem is that the cost (losing module slots) is negated due to the bug/exploit from #2 and #3 above.
Cheers
