Personally I'm excited to see them.

Yes, pain in the backside, but...

All the high end crafting professions need stuff like that! It's a good sign that the Dev's are at least taking us a step at a time, although it'll be 3 or 4 months before I think we're ready to be considered a "real" profession. (No offense, but we just don't have the usefulness of other professions yet)

So seeing all these difficult to get resources gives me hope for the DE profession again! Although they could just be giving us a reason to pay less attention to our problems and more to gathering resources...
