Ah, you missed the point. I dont powerlevel at all, but I do grind. I only play about once every 3 days and only for a few hours, at the rate of climb casually making stuff, it will take me 8 months just to gain a few blocks in the skill tree. I really dont think that making Master DE should take 2.5 years to do. That why people macro and grind away, so you can see some results at least.

My personal play style is to get mt char where I want it, then go overt and hunt imperials. I was hoping that having droids would allow me to do this as well as make a tidy profit by selling them, however when baby creatures are more powerful than a fully decked out probot and no one is buying droide in any real fashion (except the occasional medical droid) I am finding this class to simply SUCK. I want to stick with it because I think making droids is one of the coolest skills I have ever seen in the game, but the end result is not worth it.

Right now I am touring all the planets, trying to settle somewhere, but I am still soloing a lot. I usually find the place in each city where players gather, I go there, and spend an hour trying to find a group that is going out hunting. Problem is no one actually seems to do that, rather they all stand around and show off who has the biggest pet. About after an hour of asking around and watching no one move, I log off in disgust.

It seems the game is holding its breath, waiting for the 'next' patch to fix things...
