Thread: CL Requirment for Droid Models = Increased Variety / Increased Demand
The only other idea that I've got would be to make it more like in Jedi Knight.....where you go to a terminal and become the Droid in perspective.
1) A Terminal would be placed in a structure the player owns; linked to the "Holonet" (acts similar to how venders are placed).
2) Once the terminal is activated, the player becomes dormant. You would get a interface after a loading screensimilar to the pilot cockpit where you would be able to move around the world as the Droid. To deactivate, you would have to return to a "Droid charging station" -which would be a new civic structure in both player cities(DE owned)and NPC cities.
3) Droids would be equiped with different types of Combat or Utility modules in order to perform specific tasks.
4) If the Droid dies (dies, not incapacitated)in this hostile world, you will need to purchase a new one from a DE.
This solves the following issues:
- Usefullness of Droids
- Droids as a controlable "species" (which has been asked for several times)
- A re-occuring market for DE's.
Granted it would practically take a expansion for the above to happen, but one can always propose ideas.
