I've had a few of my customers complain about somthing similar to this, where when trying to heal witha medic droid the get the "You must be in a hospital, camp, or near a medical droid" message. Grouping with the droid is the only fix I've seen is for this bug.

I've heard the occasional complaint that medic modules are mysteriously breaking for no reason. Might be related to this.

for the people who say the surgical droid doesn't work outside of a hospital: are they sure that they aren't trying to use it in a Cantina? In my experience they work everywhere, except in Cantina's. If you try to use a surgical droid in a cantina you get the same error message you would get if you didn't have the droid out in the first place (somewhat disconcerting, because the message you get is innaccurate and leads you to believe the problem is with the droid).

Might not be what is happenning, but you should check.

We already covered that... the people having the problem are NOT in a cantina.

I'm sure I (and they) tried grouping too, and making sure it was charged up but neither helped, again I'll double check...

I had time enough yesterday toconfirm that grouping with, and / or charging, the Surgical droid makes no difference, it never lets you heal outside the hospital (in a player or non player city). Next up will be finding a bit more time (probably at the weekend) to try different locations and combinations of modules...

Silly question, but have you actually verified that it actually lists a Medical rating in the datapad? As simple as this may be, people have been known to miss this one....

Oh, am Ibeing an daft? Sorry butI thought Surgical droids had the innate ability to let you heal outside, no medial module required. I also thought that medical modules don't work in Surgical droids either (don't provide healing bonuses)? Again apologies if I've got this all wrong

Good point Drashk.

Surgical droids do NOT have an innate ability. You must install a medical module in it for it to work as a medical droid. The surgical droid is just another frame into which you place modules. The only droid with an innate ability is the Power Droid... and not exactly the most useful innate ability at that.

Sorry to waste your time eveyone. Still, seems like the Surgical droid is a perfect choice to have the medical abilities as inate ones, perhaps a wish list item instead (basic as level 5 and advanced as level 6 module)?

Repair modules seem to either have mis-labelled requisites for Experimentation, or are just borked.

I can use Average 900 quality resources in their creation, and get only 13% Effectiveness.

Probots/Adv Probots have differing HAM from what's listed on their deed/in the datapad, and when they are tamed/called. This is related to 2-L

2-G seems to have been fixed (multiple crafting stations).
