I don't know for sure (though I'll ask) but I'm pretty confident it will be retroactive. The modules are still listed on the droid, just seems the radial menu's/commands aren't working.
What if they do merge BE and DE together, along with CH and DH and we all go on strike because droids shouldn't act/treated like fuzzy/furry creatures and that we should get more respect?
Or does that sound like the most logical responce?
ROFL, this is fun. Since crafting droids right now is pretty much pointless, we can all sit here creating reasons on why SOE pushes things that affect DEs to Live.

I have to admit that I've been wearing my Master Shipwright title rather than DE since I'm tired of explaining how borked our droids are.
Droids are a staple of Star Wars movies, but hardly SWG 
Just look around... any droids that aren't static npcs or targets? It's sad, but why own a droid these days if you aren't a crafter or entertainer? Heck, I can't even pull out a droid when I'm in a dungeon (like the Warrens or the Corvette) so why even bother with a combat droid?
The biggest peeve I have right now is that I can't pull out a droid in my own stinking house. Why can't they get this fixed?You go in andtry to pull out your crafting droid... oh, sorry, can't do that here. Sheesh!

I totally agree with you guys. Droids are so Star Warsy, but they're so limited in this game. Now that they have promised a fix for the BE/health enhancers bug, I've directed the armorsmiths to come over here and share in the pain.
I havent worn a MDE tag in 6 months. No one cares. I m in a Guild of about 120, and all the leaders and frequent players know I am a MDE, and I have gotten a single custom request in all that time. The only players who care about DE besides us, are BH.... but only because they *have* to see us.
What if SOE is struggling to get non-jedi work done, but since they only put one person from the entire team on it, it is a very hard goal to achieve? Of course, 1 person is all they can spare from working on the next jedi patch.
Have no fear! All 5 of us are outraged.

I dont post much in the official Forums due to too much spam, but now I have to.
my Char name ingame is Ja'ni. I got one of the hugest and oldest droid shops on Farstar. some will know me ingame. I survived every Publish and/or bug SOE let go live in the last year. I wasnt amused about those issues, but it was ok for me.
Now I reached a point where I start to get angry! those bugs are no longer "just" making the DE a bit more useless. this bugs let the DE die!
I wont restock my shop anymore till the issues are fixed! If the issues arent fixed within one month, I will close it down. Mail to all customers already went out.
I could cry! I love this profession so much! I just ask myself why...? why? WHY? WHY THE HELL DO THEY DO THAT????

Because you, me, and every other DE on these boards are willing to pay for a broken product and sub-par customer service. Wake up! (I just did). One thing matters most to the peole who push/force these garbage publishes......and it talks.

What if they plan to wreck our profession now by breaking the droid system and in the next Publish, fix all of our bugs, create a new system, and allow us to do what we have wanted to do since the game started?
Or is this to far-fetched?
