Thread: droid complexity
You might want to take a look at the complexity value again and make sure that you don't have a +2 Droid Complexity listed in your skills. The normal Complexity for Level 4 Medical and Item Storage is 20, not 18.
You are correct, Javac, about not needing a crafting station for the two listed modules. I listed the wrong examples;however if you try to craft Droid Brains or Adv, DZ70s, which have a complexity of 21, you can only do so with a Crafting station present. With a +2 Droid Complexity bonus, I am able to craft both items without a crafting station present, since the Complexity for me is 19, not 21.

FYI on that list there...Droid Customization works, but is kinda useless. It is supposed to increase the color palette when coloring a droid, but a master DE already has a max palette. So it's only use would be for non-master DE's. I have no idea if that skill works for non-DE's.
It doesn't. The skill mod only effects non-Master Droid Engineers.

By reducing the Complexity of an item, it also decreased the chance of crit fails and increased the chance of higher successes.I had a suit with +25 Complexity bonus that allowed me to craft items with a complexity of 44 or less, without the presence of a crafting station. I wasn't able to experiment on what it was that I was building, but at that time experimentation was considered a moot point anyway. It made it a lot easier to craft most droids and components on the go, without needing to even pull out my crafting droid. It was suggested to me that the reason the function of the Complexity tapes were removed from the game was due to the fact that it made crit fails almost non-exisitant, even during the experimentation process.Message Edited by Drashk on 03-14-2005 04:27 PM
Good info, but your quoted blurb is in reference to the customization tape, which does work, but is useless for Master DEs...

He switched gears after the first sentence.
I was thinking of getting it just for completeness, or would I be better off spending the credits on hot twi'lek dancers, jawa beer and brandy?

Okay, I know this skillmod isn't in game atm (and hasn't been for ages by the looks of things), but is there any plan at all to bring it back? Reason I ask is that there is a +25 complexity skillmod currently on my server trade forums going for 100k.

If you have enough money you could get it for fun/show and hope that once they do a big CA Conversion it might be usefull
