Thread: Arakyd Probe Droid and Seeker Droid prices.
I also charge 500 per Seeker and 1000 per Arakyd.
Veers, perhaps you are the one who doesn't understand how an economy works. If Seekers don't sell at 2000 each, then you have to lower prices until they do sell. For me, that meant 500 each. Arakyds didn't sell until they dropped to 1000, and now they sell okay.
At least for me, there's no demand at 2000. There's a limited demand at 500, but due to my COGS I can't lower my price any further and still make money. That's how an economy works.
Ahazi Bounty Hunters - Naboo must be awfully far out of the way. I see others selling Seekers and Arakyds on Corellia for2-4 times what I charge! Buy a single crate of Arakyds from me and you'll have saved the cost of the trip... buy several crates and you've just increased your income significantly by lowering your costs.
When you say "crate" I persume you mean they have 25 in each.
One seeker takes 172 units of resources to be built, that's 4300 units for one full crate.
And you sell that one for 2500 credits??
That's like 0.58 credits per unit on the seekers and 0.8 cpu on the arakyds.
Why you even bother to make 'em?
Actualy crates of seekers and probes have 5 droids inside.... Not everything comes out in lots of 25 per crate ![]()

Ah well... never mind above post then.
Me for one would rather sell my newly found resources a 3 credits per unit on the bazaar then to build the resources into items and sell at the same price cpu.
Selling them at 500 credits is rather pointless. Yes, I agree that you should lower your prices when demand drops - but there's a point where it is no longer profitable to make the items.
At 172 resources per, you're selling at about 2.9 credits per resource. Not sure about your server, but you could sell the resources themselves for about that much, if not more. And it'd be a lot easier - no time to craft, and time is, indeed, money.
Why is that important? Because if you stopped selling, then there's less supply, which in turn affects demand, which will eventually (hopefully) raise the price people are willing to pay for them, thus making it profitable.
I sell seekers for 1000 cr, and Arakyd's for 1500 cr...and that's my floor.
I sell them for1500 and 2500 can the BHs clean me out quickly when I restock. I have about 50 BHs on my restock email list. I'm soooo happy I can run 1000 GPMs and EMMs now.
Are both 10 charges now?
Well if they required 172 resources to make you'd be correct, but they don't. The Seekers and Arakyds I'm making required 147 (Seeker) and 146 (Arakyd) resources to make. Since my cost for resources is less than 1 CPU, I'm making at least as much as I would by selling the resources and I'm having more fun doing it.
I've basically stopped making Seekers at this point. Apparently all of the Bounty Hunters on Ahazi are now abusing the bug so there's no demand.
920 per unit seeker on bazaar
900 per unit Seeker on my vend
4500 per Crate of 25 on my vend
Seekers (10 use) - 8000c or 800c per
Probes (5 use) - 7500c or 1500c per
I can't keep them stocked on my vendor.
phhantom seekers and probes dont come out in crates of 25.. so there is no way you could sell them as such ![]()

Kollos, it's not that the BH's are taking advantage of an exploit...
There is a Bounty hunter that made a DE on a second account with the sole purpose of making seekers and probes.
He sells the seekers for 40 credits each, and the probes for 140 or 160 each, I forget which... yes, I'm not forgeting a 0 either.
I was told by the person shouting in the streets about the prices andthat he's doing this because he's sick of being "gouged" by the DE's. when most of the DE's on Ahazi are selling them for half of, or less than half of what the old bounty hunter vendors sold them as, I don't know how we are gouging anyone.
I don't think this guy realizes theyhave 10x and 5x more charges now than they used to.
Hopefully he gets burnt out fast. I'm looking into buying some of his stock to resell
that's the merchant side of me ![]()
