If they do make the protocol droids combat models I will likely go BE CH so at least if I am going to have a stupid pet I can have a bunny with rancor stats and not a 3p0 with a gun.

Anyone remember this scene in the movie????

THREEPIO: I see your point, sir. But might I point out the DE that built me installed a combat module. So if the wookie were to agro on my little R2 friend I would have to open up my can of woop @ss on the wookie.

Yes, wasn't that just about 15 minutes after this scene"

Obi-Wan: "Young Luke, what brings you out this far into the wastelands?"

Luke: "I was trying to find that little R2 unit. When I got out of my speeder to get R2,thevehicle decayed to a point where it was unusable. That's when I realized that my protocol droid was missing, probably stuck back on a pet zone. I opened the data pad to store him all that was offered was"Call" for an option. So, I screamed out at the top of my lungs with a sound that only my droids could hear and toldC3P0 to store. Fortunately,it was only2370 meters away andit stored nicely! Another good thing was that R2D2 here was carrying a basic camp for me, so I took it out and placed it. Since it placed I was certain I wasn't near any lairs. I then called the protocol droid back out so I could talk with R2, but then the protocol droids battery was dead! As I reached to get replacement batteries I was jumped by a bunch of Tuskens that suddenly spawned around my camp."

Obi-Wan: "You are lucky you're Protocol droid took agroor you'dbe dead. Now come on we have to get to some shelter before another set of Tusken-Raiders Spawn! Just store the droids for now as it looks like your batteries are gone."

Luke: "If only a dead battery would affect the droid motive system this R2 unit would never have gotten this far./tellpet store"

Of course, this scene would never have happened, because when Luke went to bed the night before C3P0 and R2D2 would have auto-stored into his datapad.

It would take very little effort to adapt the protocol combat animations into all the other humanoid droids (excluding the BLL) as they are all very similar in design. ThunderHeart said in his question/answer page that the second half of their focus will be humanoid combat droid design. The combat animations may have been half-completed before and have now been dusted off in preperation of the upcoming big DE combat droid additions.

Thankyou for pointing that out! You are right, 45 HAM on the protocol. 270 on some of the R-type units.
