As a MDE I thank you all for seeing the pain we have now got to go through, not only do we have droids that peeps will not want, but it is so funny to see a LE repair droid used as a tank, give me a break,,,oh sorry they already did break us,,my bad

Whether you knew it was coming isn't the point either. You were promised the profession would be fixed, like Chefs were the last patch and BE's the one before. Instead what it looks like is that, once the "Droid Handler" idea was axed (one of their sillier concepts IMO), they had virtually nothing else available. For SOE to then go ahead and label this patch Droid Invasion speaks to a degree of spiteful cynicism that takes my breath away.


All members of the Droid Engineer profession have my deepest sympathy today.

"battlebots" are not pushed to publish 8. publish 7 IS the combat portion of the droid engineering enhancements. publish 8 is utility droid enhancements.


unless something changes drastically, publish 7 is all you are going to get so far as combat droids are concerned; at least in the near future.

To all the DE's in SWG: I am so disappointed in this Publish. You guys appear to have been hosed badly. I know others in this thread have expressed it better than I just did, but this MCH is pulling for you 100%.


I cancelled my account - last day is 28 March. There comes a time when you just have to vote with your dollars. That time has come for me. Enough is enough.

I am not mad i am more disapointed they did such a good job with chef an now they does this to the DE really sad if you ask me. i was looking forward to having my own little combat droid

If we keep this constructive, the devs may decide to implement some form of this plan -- which would mean new droid chassis, and greater than CL 10 droids introduced in a balanced manner.

Wow, anyone seen a "red name" here since patch? Man I am soooo glad I dumped MDE last month. Was a MDE since July and soooo tired of the bugs and broken promises.


To all the "old-timer" MDE's I feel for you. You've done a great job at sticking it out all this time.

I'm not a DE and never have any intention of being one but MAN OH MAN I feel for you all. I want to help. Something has to be done about this. I was so looking forward to the new Chassis that are shown in the wallpaper for the "droid invasion". Even if they are as much fodder as the rebel faction pets (which I love anyways) I wanted a roger roger droid pretty bad.


I'm behind the DE's on this 100%. We will all fight for you.

Man, I'm all embarrassed and I'm not even a DE. You guys were all hyped up for DEV Love on your profession and you ended up like Johnny Carson after his wife divorced him.


I have a close friend who has put months into obtaining Master DE and all I heard for the last 2 months was how cool its gonna be to be a master DE before the lol "droid invasion". He reached master 2 weeks before this release and was quite proud, and still can't shut up about how cool it will be.


When I see him tonight I won't be able to face him out of the embarassment he will obviously feel. I feel it for him. I feel it for all you DE's. I wish I could apologize for the dev's turning on you like this, but I can't.


Instead of advancing your profession and making it something people will want to strive for, they swung the nerf bat in a surprise attack, right in your back. oi, oh well we're all "taking our turns in the barrel".

Aye I agree with this post. Hope someday soon the DE's will get the love the deserve. I am not a DE, instead am a Master Smuggler/Mtk on Ahazi , Master CH/Master Rifleman/Master Scout on Kettemoor, Master Smuggler/almost Master CH on Valycn and all of my toons would love to see Droids of all kinds populating cities, and accompanying adventurers in the wild.



Grimer (friend on Ahazi) hope they do something for you all soon.
