Thread: Droidsmith's Tool Set

At some point, I recall that one of the game designers hoped people wouldn't accumulate "common" items as decorations/trophies whatever. This was in the context of one of the "I don't have enough inventory space" discussions.

This seems directly at odds with the Droidsmith's tool set and the requirement that you have an item (totally useless) from an old schematic that doesn't exist anymore. It appears they were counting on a few people having saved up these items, because I've never heard of one showing up as l3wt anywhere.

Hmmph.

Whoever one-starred me can kiss my ass. The sucks no matter what kind of spin you put on. I hope the devs fix it, because otherwise it really blows.

Yeah, it has sucked for a while.

I assume this was an item sitting mostly-coded somewhere that a new developer finished out...just neglected to check as to the viability of the components? Of course, it's using new components (heavy leather) as well, so I'm just left going, 'huh'.

I have all 3 items needed to finish my own, guess I better get off my lazy buttocks and go get a schematic.

I think it is more of getting rid of the darned ol' things. The devs wanted to make the new schematics difficult to make so not to give everybody. Check.

Why not free up some DB space in the mean time? We all knew they were worthless when we could make them. Now they have a purpose, but we can no longer make them.

I think its an oversight. Never head of new content requiring old content that's been removed from the game.

Another one would be the new (well, Pub 6) demolitionist's belt, giving bonuses to grenade experimentation and grenade assembly...except...those skills haven't been in the game since beta. I do agree and hope, though, that this is an oversight on the case of the droid repair tools going into the tool set, and hope the devs will get it patched soon.

/sarcasm on

You mean something in SWG that doesn't work correctly? Can't be/

/sarcasm off

I hope they fix it. The schematic look promising.
