Hrmm. All the sudden posts about trying to get dev attention...
Unfortunately they're all for nothing. We've really tried every method we can. We've done our best to get public attention. It really and truly is beyond our control now. Sinostri was honest with us in saying that changes and attention won't come for at least a month or more....we can scream and scream and scream, but if they're not trying to hear us then they won't; if they don't want to give us attention, they won't.
Yeah, it's a crappy deal. And it's certainly reasonable that people would be pissed off by this. I know I am. But that's just the way it is right now. The Devs have chosen their priorities, and as with all priorities you're bound to piss off some people. We are those some people. So the only thing we can do is actively choose to put up with it and sit it out until we get attention, or actively choose to persue another career until this one becomes truly viable. Anything else is just lip-service....we'll get motivated, we'll burn up a lot of energy hoping for results, and then the results will be the same as always.
Nothing to do now but wait or get a new hobby.
So whats with the necro posts? Some us need no reminders, and those that are new and blissfully ignorant dont need their bubble bursting.
I honestly can't see the benefit of bringing these old posts back

Well I take your point, and I see what you are trying to do.
There is one big mistake you are making though, the Devs do not read this forum. Apparently they consider this forum a...quote... 'snake pit'

The reason why you don't think the devs read these forums is because they don't post here. Which has it's logic, because how would you know someone is reading the forums if they don't make a single post?
Hehe, actually I'm an example of such a "lurker". Been around since Beta, but didn't make a single post until recently. Been too busy trying to make my millions in game from selling droids, lol. It takes a lot more work! *pant pant*
The main reason why the devs refuse to post here is due to the flack they'll get. They've screwed up more than once, and they know that pretty well. Any post they make here will draw a ton of hailfire, which they haven't got the guts to put up with.
The only way in which we can entice the devs to continue posting here again is to
1) Fill it up with constructive posts
2) Limit our dev bashing to a minimal
3) Go down on our hands and knees and beg
Ok, maybe not point three, but I hope that everyone will start doing 1 and 2. Necroposts are posts which should have been buried ages ago. But what I hope to see are constructive posts from eons ago which should NOT have been buried. They just died a natural death due to neglect and people being pre-occupied with pertinent issues like flaming the devs at that point in time. There are many wonderful posts of the past, and I hope they can get rezzed. Good people deserve to be rezzed, so should good posts.

Well you can differ all you want to, but the fact remains they do not read these boards because...lets just say they find if uncomfortable.
If you still believe Pub 7 was related to droid engineering I honestly feel sorry for you. The reason I dont think the devs read these forums is NOT cos they dont post here, it's because I have been told so via PM from undeniable sources. As to Pub 8, thats a matter of trust for which neither you or I have any evidence.
Now, you do have a valid point about being positive, but if you had been hopeful and positive and posted constructive thoughts..for as long as many of us have..and seen it come to nought..maybe you would understand. If the Devs want us to be positive they have to contribute, not hide. They have to be aware and knowledgable when commenting (the clear domed R2 being cool springs to mind here). It always helps to know your subject, and that seems still to be a failing of every Dev who comments here. They none of them play a DE (my guess is cos its not fun to them)
Some of us are still here, still hopeful, but not many.
If you had been active in so many constructive threads only to see them all ignored or shot down, what would your logical mind tell you? They cant do it? They dont want to? They dont care? or..they have no idea what to do with droids..and the last is my preference. They just have no idea how to impement them because they are all from the 'hit it and kill it' brigade, not to mention 'dragons and dungeons'. I am nearly sure that the Dev who worked on DE is now gone, but because they are all behind a blamket of 'security' we are not allowed to know.
Haha, yeah, clear domed R2 was by Thunderheart, who is happily playing Architect now. =P
Notice how a few more harvester/architect bugs have been cleared up since TH played Architect? Hmm . . .
I'm just hoping (hope is a fragile thing, yes, but my hope is bigger and stronger than the rest!) that TH will try out droid engineering after architect. Perhaps after he has done that, he will finally realise why we have been ranting forever (ok, since launch, but anyway).

This has probably been tried, but wouln't it be glorious to get all DE's to stop making droids, and remove all droids from vendors? Sort of a labor union strike? If we could reduce droid production to almost zero, the uproar would echo throughout the game.
Then, we force the devs to come to this board and "negotiate our terms". Muauauauauaua. It's a pipe-dream, but it's the only way to get what we want.
