I kind of agree, there's a happy medium we can reach.

On one hand, we're at the position right now that our rarity is validated. We're terrible. We have a few "one trick ponies" and that's it.....everything else is a hollow schematic filled with empty potential.

Yet on the other hand, if they make was *too* powerful, as you said we'll become overpopulated and then even we will begin to hate what we've become, a Flavor-of-the-Month.

The key is balance. We need to be viable, not uber. We need to have every single droid have a useful purpose, and have high-end droids which stand as symbols of financial power and social status, which are as effective as they are impressive.

But at the same time we should have hurdles. We should have a place, but not a dominant place. To the Bounty Hunter, our Seeker Droids are no more or less important than the pistol purchased from the Weaponsmith. Both are simply essential, both have a place in the Bounty Hunter's life.

So too should our droids have a place in everyone's life. Not an overpowering place, not a place in which the lack of the droid makes a person crippled beyond belief.....simply a place where every person can find one droid that would be useful to them, and every droid can fill such a place for a particular type of person.

Creature Handlers are overpowered right now because their weapons "pets" are just simply beyond comparison. If you were that Bounty Hunter and you had to choose between the Seeker Droids and owning your own Rancor....you'd obviously pick the Rancor. It's sooooo incredibly useful and overpowered that it will be way more beneficial to your everyday life than any droid would be. There's no comparison to anything out there, be it guns or droids or Faction Pets or melee weapons or whatever. Creature Handlers are where they are because the creatures are so grossly overpowered compared to other options that people see it as being silly to go without one. Creature Handlers don't have a "balanced place" in the world, they have a dominant place where their creatures are deemed as being "essential" simply because the alternatives are too weak in comparison.
