Thread: Umm... did anyone catch the last line in the Patch Notes?
- Artisan will start to make money again with vehicles (I have not sold ONE in months and I have a few in my vendor. Only way they sell now isunderpriced vehicles and that is not worth it. I rather sell the raw materials)
- Everyone else will think twice about whipping out their vehicles (an element of danger that is sorely needed in this game)
- Will give BE a larger market because mounts will become more of an option in certain situations such as PvP. Who cares if your Cu Pa gets incapped, they auto heal

- ..and most importantly, it will create the much needed money sink as originally intended.
I make swoops to sell from my vendor and i sell a few each week .
I think swoops deteriorate far to quickly ,and the garage repair fees are far too high, so another extremely poor idea from the devs .

If you experimented on them and made the HAM higer they wouldnt deteriorate as fast. But they certainly deteriorate at a faster rate than the other bikes, which is why they cost so much. You guys know you can put your bikes away and pull them back out again in the field now. If you would put it away while you are doing the mission (or whatever) they wouldnt die as quick.
yes the repair option was intended so it was obviously they fix it.
one thing i dislike is, that silly mobs bte your metal car into disabled mode, and thats NOT repairable then. thats not nice, iimo it should be repairable. costs just the full ham bar of it, which is expensive enough.
well and i am more concerned about the customizing colors duration, i hope they not just double it to 40 calls LOL then its still useless. colors should be fun not a moneymaker in first place. so make it perma or at least 2000 calls, to be more realistic. my car isnt fading its color when i drive 40 times to McDonalds ![]()
(this of course counts same for droids colors)

Come on, what is the big deal? Is storing your vehicle some issue of pride? It's a game mechanic so people can't endlessly have use/access to vehicles without paying for it. Maybe I forgot to pay maintainance on my house...maybe I forgot that the MOBs on Yavin IV can kill you in one hit. That doesn't mean I shouldn't have to pay the consequences.
The smart fix for this would be, if vehicles would detoriate only, when somebody is driving them. Alternatively, the vehicle might give you an option to turn off the motor, thus turning detoriation off.
While I see the (technical) need, that vehicles can be stored and are autostored if a player logs off, it takes away part of the immersion. Luke did not have a datapad to store his speeder in....
From a roleplayers point of view, it would be much nicer, if vehicles (and pets and droids) could not be stored (apart from a at a garage), and could not be called at will.
As a player, i sure do love to be able to call my vehicle everywhere (and not paying an extra fee to put my bike on board of a spaceship).

Not true at ALL, i've tested thisfairly extensively and my findings are the exact OPPOSITE of this. I went 4 days. Days1 and 2 I stored myswoop at each mission and regenerated after each mission. total repair cost: Approx. 6k each day. Days 3 and 4 I left theswoop out all day and didn't store it from the time I started playing until the time I was ready to log off, total repair cost: Approx. 2k each day. All 4 days were of roughly the same amount of playing time, about 1/2 hour to an hour variation. The main rason I did this test was that while travelling long distances I noticed that myswoop didn't seem to be popping up those - numbers very often. However it seemed to take damage almost every time I generated it. So the key here is, don't store yourswoop unless you HAVE to, because you're going to another planet, taking a shuttle, etc. Wehn on the same planet I use my swoop almost exclusively, it saves money and in some cases time depending on how far I'm going and how long the shuttle wait is.
