I'm with ya Straker....I just had my finger over the cancel button for a minute or so and decided to cool it a bit. I'm having a really hard time wanting to keep playing.

Well I just created a new toon on Ahazi. Since watching the CU hit the fan is about the only fun I see myself having in the future of SWG I figured I may as well get front row tickets.

I'm working on getting us some information at the very least... Just made another post asking about the experimentation changes as well as asking for information on whether our armor (whenever it gets fixed...) is likely to be retroactive or not.

Well all my friends that we were talknig about migrating to WOW with have said that they want to give it a week or 2, so I am just chilling. Really not happy, can't beleive they would just spring it like this.

Well I have 6 factories cranking out level 6 armor modules as we speak... hoping they will work even though composite armor segs are gone.

Also just made a bunch of schematics where cnd matters. Combat modules are going to be hurting thoguh cause of the brain reqs.

Not sure how I'll get my harvs off of Dath though.

City of Heroes went live the day my SWG account ended the first time too. It was friggin' classic (since I cancelled SWG to go to CoH and all)

Speaking of CoH... I miss the days when that game was coming out. You know, when players had concerns, they could post it on the forums. And could -expect- an answer from the devs directly. Not be surprised if a dev came into the forums. You had direct communications with the HEAD developer Statesman. Oh, oh oh! And here's the best part! City of Heroes got -pushed back- when it wasn't ready to go live. Yup, that's right. They didn't force out an incomplete product just to meet a release date. They pushed back that game when it wasn't ready. Oh, and that's not the best part... it gets even better. The BETA of that game was a more complete product than this game is now. Yea, that's right. There were no server lag, crappy FPS rates, or glitches in the BETA version of City of Heroes. The only problem I ever had with that game was the day the servers went live, and everyone tried to bottleneck it trying to get in at once. But what happened after I got into that game? Yea, that's right. Smoothest running MMORPG I've ever played. That's why, even tho I don't play it much anymore, I've never cancelled my CoH account. I know I could go back at anytime, and I feel good knowing that my money is supporting a company that knows how to handle the product they are selling.

This game is fun and all (and game vs. game, it's probably better than CoH), but I just cannot believe how horrid this product is being marketed. 2 years later, it's still a defective product, as proven by the need for a CU, and how the CU is being handled. I dunno why I still pay for this game. I think it's just because I've become attatched to my character, and I'd feel bad not being able to play him anymore. And I got some good buddies on that game. My guild is awesome.

My suggestion would be to give it about a week after ROW comes out. My bet is they're getting this hard deadline from LA, and once RoW is out they'll be able to get productive work done again.

I'd call the first couple publishes this year extremely productive. Granted the GVS was horribly implemented, but aside from that I think they did a pretty good job.

Anyways, allow me to be the cynical one when I say:

"productive work done again"

Again?! When was any work they did productive the first time? Why didn't anyone ever give me the memo.

Nothing hurts more than to see a bad idea go into motion, and being unable to do jack about it. But this is just another gash in SWGs history of self Mutilation. Now I#m just to resigned to be angry, I'm just glad i packed up my in game belongings and have no new duties in game, abandoning it wont be a problem. If SOE is foolish enough to see this through they deserve the consequences.
