Thread: Five Easy Fixes Please Dev Team, Give Us A Bone To Chew On

Actually its even easier than that
Fix DZ70 HAM = low level combat droid
Fix Probot HAM = medium level combat droid
These can easily be hotfixed (afterall they were nerfed in a hotfix) and solve 2 problems in one. The stimulate desire for these droids and they save the devs having to go away and design some new content
/agree with this!

It's not a question of resources only, it's a question of balance.
I agree. That's why probots should have as much HAM and do as much damage as a carrion spat which all users can use as a lvl 10 pet. If you wanted to account for probot armor, leave HAM as it is and up the damage (though not all probots will have 40%). Also, what's up with not being able to repair droid damage? Ridiculous.
Right now, balance is skewed in favor of CHs. Once the one-pet rule swings in, we're hosed. I am already losing sales because of it. People ask if you can use the probot and a pet at the same time and I have to say not for long. They ask about probot dmg and I say 50-56; they reply, literally, "small potatos."
So it is a questions of balance, you're right.
A 0/0/0/3 DE who is handed a level 6 armor module along with some grinding steel and fiberplast can make every bit as good a basic probot as I can... That's not right. They should make probots as good as we can make now, but as a master, I should have the opportunity to do much, much more.
Give us two REAL experimental bars on the probot, durabilty would allow us to take it from 800 base HAM to perhaps 1600 HAM at 100%, and effectiveness would allow us to take it from 50 base damage to perhaps 200 at 100%.
Then make us choose which we want... Because we'll only be able to experiment one of them all the way up. Or let us make a compromise droid, with around 1000 HAM and 100 or so damage.
If experimenting on the probot MEANT something it would be a huge boost... although of course this is slightly out of the scope of the original post.
I agree. Experimentation will mean product differentation and the end of cookie cutter droid underselling. It's within the scope of the original post in that we need some hot fixes to boost DEs and droids; we just differ as to which fixes. Certainly I agree with the original post. I would add the fix Rho has suggested to the list. If that is too muchfor a hotfix, then lift the caps and damage to Carrion Spat levels for the adv model.

To my way of thinking, what we have with the probot right now is a min/min situation with regard to HAM and damage output.

/sigh
Seriously guys.
I wish people would listen.
Since the day Probots were nerfed and creatures began to rule, I have been the one championing fixing probots back.
However, THIS IS NOT WHAT THIS THREAD IS ABOUT.
It's a totally seperate issue.
You are preaching not only to the converted, but to the preacher.
However, the Dev team has put those fixes on the plate for the begining of next year.
This thread is about BUGS, not balance.
They have already told us when they are going to address the balance - what I want to know is when they are going to fix these BUGS.

Audio, you have my full support (and bumpage)
except this part:
"I want corpse runs! Do I complain about you being lazy and not wanting to do them? Nope - so don't complain that I like them and think the Devs made a serious error by not making them an option. BRING BACK CORPSE RUNS as an OPTION!"

I think the probot needs to be temporarily unnerfed to give us a snowball's chance of competing with creature handlers.
Well, that's just not going to happen.
The Probot nerf was more than four months ago.
They have been "nerfed" several times longer than we ever had them at "full" strength.
As I have said several times over in this thread, I have been out there championing their return since it happened.
However, this thread is about TECHNICAL issues. Not BALANCE issues.
The TECHNICAL issues have never been addressed.
The Devs have given us a time frame of early next year for Combat droids to be enhanced.
Would we like it to be sooner? Sure we would. But it's clear that at this point no matter how upset we get, it's just not going to happen.
I have never heard them address the five bugs/broken things this thread discusses.
We already have our answer on the combat droids thing, guys - what we do not have answers on are these bugs.

This will partially be addressed in the next patch, when non-ch's can only use Level 10 pets, and not Level 15 pets.
A level 10 pet is a lot closer to a Probot, especially with Max armor.
We already have our answers about combat droids, and at this point it's useless to discuss further - we got our answer. We may not be happy with that answer (February), but we have it.
What this thread is about, and what people have ignored for months because we've been preoccupied with probots, is that these bugs have been around forever, take value out of our droids (I've actually had people that won't buy a droid because they can't name it - a small thing to me, obviously a large thing to them), and has NEVER been addressed.

even though a Probot is like CL16!
There is the problem right there, look no further
I agree that those five things are bugs, but 3 of them are fixes to stuff that has VERY little or no use in the game.If these droids had a purpose and I would say yeah fix the bugs first. However the reality of the DE situation is that it is catch 22. With the little attention that this profession gets, why direct the devs timeto fixing bugs on 3ton paper weights. So I would have to disagree, I think priority number one is functionality. More than 50% of the droids that we can make all do the same freakin job, and the rest dont even have one. Along this line of thinking, I dont think new droid chassis for combat is right either, that should be 3rd on the list.
