yea, and I've been tossing the idea back and forth in my head... I think I'm going to get something going (nobody quote me on that one). Don't be surprised if people start hearing from me in the next few days (I swear I'm almost up to an email list for half the server...)

I tried contacting a few people on Naritus, and couldn't find one. I'm going to start one up and make sure everybody gets an intro before Sunday. I know how to organize, but I can't explain things very well. Please message me if you have any suggestions, especially on how to say how a DEnet/DEA will be usefull. Thanks.

I haven't heard or seen anything like a DENet or DEA on Lowca. If there's one, I'd like to join, if not, how do I start one?

Chimeara is a relatively new server, but I already see droids floating around.

I'd really be interested in learning
how DE groups were set up on other servers,
any tips people have for organizing and presenting the group to new members,
benefits (some are obvious) and features offered,
technical issues for setting up chat/mail/communication in and out of game,
and other things people have run into and had to deal with.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

I dont know the answer to this, but someone here might:

Is there a DEA/DEnet organizer on Corbantis? I've not heard anyone step forward yet, and am curious. If not, then what is involved in becoming one / being one? If it doesnt involve a herculean effort, then I wouldn't mind taking up the torch for my server. Somebody please fill me in on this info, thanks!

I think we need to get a more "official" thread on DEA (the list of 'leaders', servers where they are up and running, etc.).

In addition, I know that Woodrow and I have discussed writing something up that explains the 'system' and why/how it works.

Then again....maybe I'll just go be a Pikeman or something.

Had my first meeting last night.

Chat log and whatnot will be posted as soon as I get home and can upload them.

Was a qualified success... Only about 5 people showed up (a few more couldn't make it due to personal reasons). We'll grow and get bigger.

That's alright. Local-server ones are usually smaller. We average between 12 and 18 in the small ones.

But I'll get a list of official DEA organizers going soon as I can find the energy to scour the posts again.

I would like to be a member of the local DENet, although I do not have the dedication to run it myself, I would gladly contribute waypoints and help less knowledgable DEs. Im on Gortah, so if there is an admin on Gorath please drop me an ingame email.
