I don't believe that its possible to make MDE in 7 hours. I really can't see how. And I can only imagine the immense contity of resources you'd need for it.

Fact is, even after hitting blueprints III and start making chasis, they are so complicated to build with all the different sub components, that still takes ages...

Maybe I'm just getting slow in my old age

Personaly, I took the "grind" to MDE a lot different to others here. I didn't sit down for hours (or days) or end grinding MSE's .. i took it slowly and tried to enjoy it as much as possible. I took the blueprints line and the construction line so thatI could build the majority of the useful parts, and purchased the crafting stations and armour that I couldn't buy to make good droids until I had built up the skills to do it myself. Then just sat back and relaxed

or you can get 4200xp by making the BLL in Practice mode. I finally did that myself. M.DE wasn't all that to get at that point and in many ways it, sadly, still isn't a completed profession. I guess it took me to the 3.5 month mark to get my M.DE.

Redskuller took me about the same length of time ontwo of my chars, and twice as long on the other!

Ironicaly, my main char still hasn't hit Master DE, even though my other two have been MDE for over 2 months. lol

OMG, you guys should read what you write. He won't break the profession any more. He won't destroy your business. He just wants to master it (like me) because a holo told him/us.

If he happens to like the profession in the end-great! Another DE ingame, there way too few. If not-where is your problem? That he bought ressources you wanted? That some DE can gather AP from him to master the profession?

This makes no sense.

And btw, I am no powergamer at all and IMHO it is truely possible to master DE in 7 hours. I was novice DE after 30 minutes, blueprints 1 after another 30 minutes or so. (keep running 4 crafting tools with a practice macro.) And I nearly reached blueprints 4 today while chatting in a cantina. It took me a lot of steel and like an hour of my time. If you make a 4 second pause while putting in the ressources for advanced frames you can use up to 6 tools (I only use 5, I am chatting anyway.)

Also I found that I like the profession It's fun to craft droide for me actually, too bad you cannot sale anything else than a mouse or a R2 since all droids are equal. Also the color tool is fun as long as you know a MA. I am really looking forward to the (IMO waaaay too late) changes.

Perhaps I come back the DE after my holo goes silent. And hopefully the atmosphere here is by then way less hostile. Relax people, it's just a game.

The problem is most DE's (or at least the ones that have stuck around) did not grind their way to Master. A lot of us just took our time at it, learning at each new box what could/could not be done. So we don't know and don't care to know how to do it in 7 hours. If you want to be a DE, do yourself a favor and do it this way. The problem with the Holocrons is that people want to be fs NOW. So they want to take the fastest, easiest route to it. IMO, they shouldn't just grind their way, they should take time to learn the profession as all (or most) of us have.

I think the (flawed) theory the Dev's had about the holocron system was that someone who had played many facets of the game would be given the chance to have Jedi as the end game.

By telling people how the system worked, and having specific classes that needed to be mastered, they have trashed this approach.

So, instead of people with a wide base of knowledge about different aspects of the game, we get the grinders who breeze through classes like DE, who will surrender the skills with absolutely no knowledge about the profession.

Before he gets credit towards Jedi, AtomPolaris should have to take a quiz, with questions like what is the difference between dropping two level 4 med modules and one level 6 medical module in a surgical, what are the protects of all the armor types, etc...

Just did the math. if you were really on your game you could complete the entire DE profession in 7 hours. Would also take a little under 600,000 units of resources and some really kick bottom macros, but I won't be posting any details on the like here today. Scary though that it took me half a month to work through DE when it could be done so quickly.

Thanks for 1-staring me. -_-

I see, a lot of nice people here. You know, not everyone enjoys doing the same thing over and over the long way if it works faster. One reason I quit WS was because I could not stand the whole "Craft a D18, destroy it. Craft a D18. Destroy it. Craft a D18. Oh it's decent, I might perhaps sell it for 200 bucks. *oneweeklater* Ohh.. noone wanted it, since it's not made by a master and noone needs D18 anyway. Well, here we go."

I made that for a long time. I got all my resources from harvesters I crafted myself and put a lot of love into my weapons (lol, you get the point.) But NO ONE CARED. Yes, I made a D18 a MWS would laugh about, but it took me an hour to experiment enough with expansive ressources to get that fine weapon(at least to me it was.) In the end it did not matter. I still got some of those weapons.

But I could not stand it anymore, doing senseless work(and yes, it becomes work after you do it so and so often.) I KNOW most of you hate MSE. Why? Because you crafted like 500 to get a box. Why do you judge people who don't want to do this? Do you think I am lazy because of that, because I don't like mindless grinding? Lol, you are absolutly wrond. I am just clever enough to use all the meanings the game offers without cheating of anything. It's in the game. And I did use practice mode without makros for WS after I figured what it does.

You just did not use it because you did not know of it(ie macros). Like me, I didn't know about any crafting makros back then. And although it was fun for me to craft one cool item, it is NOT fun to craft 500 other. It's just boring and I got a life beside the game.

So, next point, you judge those who want to open their jedi slot. Why? Because you are not willing to do it? It's the toughest thing in the game just to get it. Some people like challenges you know? I am no powergamer, as I stated, otherwise I would probably already have mastered my 4 professions. Actually I didn't even master more than 1 profession prior to HSW (Marksman for Commando) because I like to play a lot of different styles. I see no sense in mastering everything. But I like to test everything, play every possible style. I tried grinding the hard way, it's not my style. Neither is doing this over a even longer period of time.

I am no DE. I am no HSW. I am no other profession. I am a player who likes to try all professions, to get the most out of it.

I tried SL for example and found that it's more than boring, it was one the most interessting professions to me, prior to release. DE was one of the less interessting. Now I tried both and I dislike SL and like DE very much.

You all seem (those who either didn't read my 1st post because you are ignorant 1-star-zombies or because you are just ignorant and 1stared me therefor, all others are excluded) to be DE at heart. People who only like to play one style in this game.

I am happy for you, you obviously have found something you really like and don't need anything else. Grats, you don't need any more skill points. I have the problem that I like way to much in this game. Entertainer, Artisan, Combat and Medic. Well, bad luck I guess.

But those who one-stared me won't ever READ a single sentence after my first, so I guess this post will sink or get 1-starred again. Silly me, trying to make a constructive post and a healthy discussion. Too bad for me, you are all too bitter because the DE-DEV wasn't at work for 4 months. Now I and some other (who are lazy to a certain degree for not reading the stickies I admit-I did that to a full extend prior to my Holocron because I hate droids being NOT in the game like they should be. And I fully support all DE more than any other profession.)

Have fun
