That is what I do with my DE as well. I just wanted to hurry it up with my combatent.
Nell, you don't need to give anything up to get Jedi really, you just spend your skillpoints on Jedi stuff. You can keep your other stuff how you want.
It's when you spend a certain amount on Jedi skills that you qualify to get Jedi Knight.

So does that mean I could get "Novice Jedi" so to speak (lol), open up an FS slot, then give up "Novice Jedi" (I love this, I want that to be a title in the game, lol), and have my FS slot open?!
That'd be "teh uber-pwn4ge"

Nope, you can't surrender Padawan, you will loose the 24 SP permanently
(unless they change it in the future)

Damnit, that's "teh uber-pwn4ge" alright, just in reverse direction

From what I understand, it's a bug that you can't give up padawan, so it may be fixed at some point.
Would be a ton less work to get the other professions on the extra toon Nell, I know you worked hard to get them, but not as hard as it will take to get the FS boxes, could make a fun roleplaying of it. Name would be Marr'Tan (missing an a) who was a clone of you gone bad.
Heh you could be a DE with a Lightsaber, that has a certain appeal to it. Could be usefull for those Harvest runs or killing rebels

^ Well, it might be fun, but Jedi wouldn't fit my character. My character is simply too simple minded to be a Jedi. I think Han Solo said something to this extent in the movies, but when the topic of Jedi and the Force comes up, my character's motto is "Forget about all that Force garbage, I don't trust anything except my pistol".
My character cares about 2 things: 1. Money 2. Bloodshed
In that order
He only became Droid Engineer / Creature Handler cuz in my backstory, he got pwn3d on his home planet, and he fled, and he realized that if he had creatures and droids do his killing for him, then he wouldn't have to be the one getting killed.
My character is really just a money hungry, murdering coward. He's definatley not fit to be a Jedi.
Lol, then get the Force Powers
