Thread: I had a really great customer last night
Hehe Rho,
Your part of the reason I picked up DE in the first place. I play on your server and if you know it or not your known around the our galaxy.WHen you do business the correct way word tends to get around
I did the grind thru MDE and opend a shop on Dantooine not too long ago. I am still learing the trade though especially when it comes to pricing. I have had a few customers (mainly in my guild) who have been very friendly in thier requests as well and it does help keep your interest up when ya dont get a guy or gal just demanding that you build them something right now and hurry up about it. Most dont understand that making these things can get quite complex. Especially if there not an artisan. I have a feeling that it might lean that way when battle droids are finally released because there is gonna be a huge demand for them. Just thought I would let ya know brother.

Let me reaffirm what I said in a PM to you..
Advertise your shop in Shiloh, stock your vendor, have fun.
My problem is not with you, Rho. It's with the way things were done and I've made my feelings known to Vexa.

Niklut...You could always buy mine and resell them
I'm on Tarq also.
You guys better stop bickering. I have had a shop on Correllia for afew weeks now. If blood fueds break out, they are going to want to shop at a nice restful shop instead. Gribnitz's Droids are known throughout the galaxy you are aware ?
I guess I better get in line on pricing. Someone send me a tell in game so I am not high or low balling someone. ( and me the only DE on Kauri with Dioxis and Lidium for months now has to face competition since it's back again ).
dammit! I'm sitting on the edge of my seat dying to know what Tribblemaster's problem is. Obviously something has set him off, and I don't think we have had the full truth yet (especially if he's resorting to PMs).
C'mon! Bring it all out in the open. The prying masses need to know!
On a lighter note, well done with your business strategy. Wish I had people saying "I became a DE because of you, Woody" instead of the usual lines like "Go away Woody" or "What are you doing outside my window Woody?" or "Put that knife down! No! NoooooOO!"
It's also a pity that your new neighbour had reacted in such a kneejerk way as this. Makes great viewing over here, but bad neighbourship for you. Personally, I welcome rivals to come share my market. I build all droids custom-order, and I get swamped a lot of the time. I'm happy to pass off my business to others, providing they show a bit of gratitude towards it all. Cooperation and noncompetition allows people to achieve much more in our field than competition. Or at least I think so.
Please don't blow this any more out of proportion than is necessary. We are maintaining cordial (or perhaps very cordial) relations, and I have every intention of keeping it that way.

Yeah but then it is a pain in the butt to still worry about restocking. It's a lot easier to get someone to set up a vendor of thier own and make them keep it stocked. But I am alsoconsidering buying and reselling at a higher price. But I don't know what I am going to do yet, right now I am working on an order for 100 of each type myself.
I shouldn't be posting to this thread, because it really needs to die, but...
I have no problem with Rho and I think I can safely say he has no problem with me.
My problem (because Woody's enquiring mind wants to know) was with the mayor of the city. I helped build the city, literally grinding out hundreds of wall modules to build the city structures when the player city patch came.
From that, I guess I felt entitled to a little better treatment then to have a new droid engineer moved into the city without even a heads up. On top of that, the new DE was moved in right next door to me. What kind of message does that send?
To be fair, when I say without a heads up, I should say that I exchanged one email with the city's mayor in which she let me know my vendor was empty and to which I responded by telling her I was in the process of collecting resources to restock. A week later there is a new DE in town.
That's really the extent of it. With the history known, I think it's clear to see that Rho unintentionally rubbed some salt in the wound with the post that started this thread.
Oh, as for the PMs, Rho and I didn't discuss much more then what's contained in this thread, we just needed to develop a common understanding of the situation and PMs made that a bit easier.
...and so ends another episode of, "As Corellia Turns"...
