They'd be HAPPY to do the sampling for the detailed stats. They ENJOY finding the high points of resources (I do as well).
sometimes i think i am playing a different game....i will keep looking....maybe i will find someone in game who actually enjoys surveying and looks forward to doing it week after week
Its not the act of surveying, its the challenge. If you were just handed a list of all the minable wp's things would get very old very fast.
Help me survey without having to run over the entire planet...or help me find resources of quality....or...
for those of you who could careless about the quality of the item you are searching for, great news, there is a droid that can help you.
I was an idiot, found a 78% spot RIGHT UNDER my house. Looked it up on SWGcraft, saw it wasn't used in any scehmatics and didn't mine a bit of it.

I've been asked by a customer whether the BH 'Droid tracking speed' skill/tapes will have any effect on the return times for these new puppies, does anybody have any experience in this?

For all who keep calling these droids useless (Not just targeting you, secretbuyer), you need to start saying "this droid is useless to 'me'."
You can't say it's useless, because I use them. And there are at lease 550 other people on flurry who use them. There were 18 people camping my vendor on patch day when I brought up the first 5 crates. A quick glance at the "vendor sales" show at least 50 return buyers. Many of these people bought one to try, and came back for crates.
The bottom line is that there is a HUGE population that LOVES these droids, and use them extensivly within the design parameters.
You CAN'T say they are useless, because they have uses, and are being used. At the very most, you can only say that you personaly have use for them. And if you can't find a single client that wants to use them, then you (nay-sayers in general) need to pack up your shop and find a combat profession.

For now, I can't keep them in stock. They sell at 2k per use like hotcakes.
There are many that want:
- The ability to know when a rare spawns on certain/all planets
- The ability to know when they need to go and pull a harvester they dropped on a distant planet
The time savings added into this droid (the 'you can still make money doing other stuff while it does the work for you') is the closer for most sales on these.

Respectfully,
That sums up why I love these droids in a nutshell. I can fire off a few of these things when I first log on, go about checking my emails and getting ready and before I know it, I know whether I need to make a trip to Dantooine or some other outer planet.
It saves me time, and I'll happily pay for that convenience.

SWGCraft makes these droids fairly useless....yet quite useful to people who survey for SWGCraft....
ironic
SWGcraft is the ultimate survey droid imo...15-20 people per server could use these to help to report to swgcraft, but the remaing population of the game is always going to use sqgcraft...most resources are on there within a few hours and personally thats good enough for me

I think once the general populace learns how to get/use the value in these, they will become a medium commodity item for DEs. But that's just an early opinion on how it appears to be shaping up.
...more to come on these as needed...
