This is a +/- 1 vote or so in accuracy (due to some vote-wobbling) but I currently have the count as:

No = 165

Yes = 13

Abstain = 5

As stated, I'm probably off by one or two votes (not as if it really matters though).

I'm thinking our voice has been heard.

You can all still vote if you want (please use "Yes" / "No" or "Abstain").

However, the numbers above (even with margin of error) leave little doubt as to what the DEs think of the basic premise of a DH profession.

No.

The main thing a DE wants is a market for our wares.

Do something like this instead http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=droid_engineer&message.id=34915&highlight=#M34915

I understand how they came to the conclusion of "make DH just like BE" - the problem is a BE can create lots of things other than pets like clothes and pet stims. At current rate, a DE will never have a mass market versatility like that.

We are very close.

One would certainly think so, yes. Even without the assistance of powerful mind-altering agents.

I'm thinking our voice has been heard.

I doubt it.Let's read that first part of TH's post again. For those that want to find it (since it doesn't show up on the DevTracker), it's in the In Live discussion area under Weekly Roundtable Discussion(Week Ending 1-25-04) about a third of the way down on the first page (http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=in_live&message.id=1362).

Could you drop a hint when we will see the post about the DROID INVASION, please?

Ill be doing it this week. I had to push it off until some of internal discussions were finished. The timetable was changed because the Droid Engineers were very clear in telling me they wanted Droid Engineering and Droid Handling as two seperate professions.

For the SOE to come out with that--oh let's not call it a boldfaced lie. Let's call it a severe falsehood--that WE told them we wanted this and they DELAYED THEIR SCHEDULE to accomodate our desires, they could not possibly have been listening to us/ They must have been listening to the Droid Engineers who are playing Everquest. Clearly they were not at the DEA meeting on Sunday night either. Shameful. We talk and we talk and provide them with data, and we get this. Disappointing, to say the least.

The worst part is that if they actually do take our words and pleas to heart, this will only mean that any substantive changes to our beloved and beleagured profession will be EVEN LONGER in coming as they will probably start the whole "Ok then: what do you want?" process over again because obviously we were not clear in the first place. (BOLD = sarcasm, for those who are derisionally challenged).
