Thread: A few Questions..

I'm trying to get everything straight before I go off and take up politician for my guild, so I need some answers to a few questions

1. Our guild isn't very large at the moment (just a few friends moved over from DAoC), so we will need to bring in people to form the Outpost city rank, at least to start with. If those people we give houses to up and leave in a day/week/fortnight etc, leaving us with less than 10 declared residents, will the city "disband itself"?

2. Can we/I place the houses in the layout I want, and then hand them over to the new residents? I've planned the layout of the city already, for rank 1, and need houses to go in specific places, facing specific ways. I don't want someone who we give a house to to come along and plonk his house right where I want my cantina, or facing the wrong way so the house next door can't be placed etc

3. Is there a limit on how many civic buildings you can have in one city rank?

4. Can you only have certain civic buildings once you reach a certain city rank?e.g. can I only geta med centre when my city becomes rank 3, or whatever, or are the buildings you place determined by politician skill only?

Thank-you

(1) As far as I know - yes it will. You need a minimum of 10 residents to remain an Outpost. If you drop below this level your CityHall will disappear (along with all its contents) at the next city update.

(2) If you are the Mayor or a militia member you can place the house/s (as long as you have sufficient lots left) and use the /transferstructure command to transfer it back to the ownership of the new resident.

(3) There is a limit - I believe that they are listed in the FAQ at the top of the page

(4) Yes, placement of certain structures and decorations are determined by (a) the rank of the city, and (b) the skill level of the Mayor.

I am seriously looking to go into the DE profession. Just have some simple questions, hopefully somebody has the time.

I am wondering:

Do the master artisan parts make a difference on the final combine of the droid if effectiveness of said part is lower/higher?

What is the most needed resource of the DE profession? I had another post on here which listed all the resources I needed, but am wondering the most needed resources, so I can start collecting if I am going to go into the DE field.

Well I guess thats it really. Thank you for your time.

Looking ahead to when you make master, keep a keen eye out for good inert gas and copper. A lot of the new modules require inert gas. high OQ/COND copper can make or break a module rating!

---good luck

Is the "ent" Publish still on track ?

If yes when can we expect to see it pushed to live ? (we have 2 months here before JtL is supposedly going to hit. I don't expect them to do any publishes in Oct. Except for things dealing with JtL.)

I've been doing this for a year... I spend 90% of my time NOT playing music or dancing. And I'm sitting here with nothing but a sliver of hope left. The only thing keeping me doing this right now is that I'll get a song and a dance in the next 2 months. Can we get some info ? When is the Coor summit being planned for ?

Or as I sort of suspect...

with the changes to their combat revamp plans are they instead going to use the "ent" publish to push GCW and Combat fixes ?

How many devs are left right now working on the core game ?

Of them how many of them are working on things other then fixes to GCW and Combat ?

Which one is working on us ?

Please help me I need more to keep me going. I love my character I love being a musician and a dancer but I can't keep this going much longer.

hey,

i have a few questions for all the smugglers out there:

1) once this dup junk is over i want to start selling fp. i'm pretty close to being colonel so i get the 1.18:1 delgate ratio. my question is whats the best way to do this? should i make them pay me 100c for every fp they get or for every fp i buy? what is the macro to buy and sell? do i get their payment before i give them fp or as i go? wow that alot of questions but here another

2) is there another way to do the secret smuggler handshake than to do /emote gives %TT the secret smuggler hand shake? i'm pretty sure that the guy who trained me in master gave me that handshake and the box looked like it does when you do /hi5 or any emote like that. it looks kinda shoddy the way i do it now, bt it's so fun to give out the hand shake to fellow smugglers i just can't resist.

any answers to the questions will be greatly appreciated and any other comments would ne appreciated as well.

thanks,

1)It should be for every FP they get. It's easier for people to understand that.
Macro is found here, as well as other faction selling info.

I'd take payment in advance for each lot of FP you transfer. No sense spending your own cash to get FP.

2) Yep, make a macro. the one i have is:
/handshake;
/emote gives %NT the secret smuggler handshake

this didn't work, it gave a normal handshake then it did the /emote part and said %NT instead of the name. i typed it like this: /handshake;/emote gives %NT the secret smuggler handshake.
