Will a droid with creature harvesting+17 modules help a scout/ranger enough?

102 is fine.... it's REALLY hard to get them much higher, as your capped by the CD of the steel (650 max i hear?) most of mine turn out at 17 or so, and end up with an r3 of 99-103 bonus. The theoretical max is 120 i believe.

In practice, I haven't seen much difference between a +101 and a +107.

It'll help more a novice scout than a master ranger, but it'll help both.
A friend of mine is master ranger.
Switching from a 89 droid to a 103 droid increased the amount of reosurce per creature by 1 to 3.
He use it mainly because of the convenience it gives than the actual resource increase.

I made a factory run of my Harvest Modules so have crates left, I regularly put R3 Adv with 99 bonus to Harvesting on my Vendor, and they sell pretty quickly, I think I average abotu 1 a week.

A 110 harvest rating is about as good as it gets (yes theo max of 120...but not gonna happen b/c of steel limits), but really the difference between that and a 102 might just be 1 or 2 units per creature, depending on the users skill.
We recently had a really good steel on Chilastra and every DE maxed out at 110 rating.
102s should sell just fine.

For what it's worth. I used to have Hunting IV. Bought a 100% harvesting R3 and dropped all my hunting skills. I'm only getting slightly less per harvest with the droid than before dropping the skills.

I have had similar reports. High rated harvesters show only marginal increases over lower rated ones. The main factor appears to be the owner’s skill level. If the droids rating is higher then the owners skill level, the droid harvest more. If the owners skill level is higher, then hand-harvesting gets the greatest yield.
If anybody has seen a bigger difference then plus or minus 10% between the two methods, I have not heard about it (on-line or in the forums).

Of course, there are the advantages with a droid that you can harvest without closing closer than rifle range, and you can harvest while in combat.
Those 2 factors alone make a droid worth using.

I make 107's on test center and they sell well but any droid over 100 is useful, the long range harvest is a nice feature for sure.
