Module types:
Medical:
Highest medical rating is 110. This is obtained by two level 4 modules or one level 6 module. Medical ability allows you to heal wounds outside of a med-centre or camp, but not in a cantina or hotel. A rating of 100 is the same as healing in a med-centre.
Storage:
Highest storage rating is 10 items. This is obtained by two level 4 modules or one level 6 module. Storage allows you to store items in your droid.
Data:
Highest data rating is 150 items. This is obtained by two level 4 modules or one level 6 module. A level 4 module allows you to have a rating of 110 items. Data allows you to store schematics currently.

Armour:
Two level 4 armour modules give you 40% Medium armour. This is obtained by one level 6 armour module. 40% medium armour is the current max for armour.

Repair module:
This module allows your droid to repair other people’s droids (health and action wounds). It does not work in a repair chassis or a power droid chassis.

Crafting stations:
Currently, having more than one crafting station in a droid causes the droid to be broken. There are four types of crafting stations: Food/Chemical, Armour/Clothing, Structure and Weapon/Droid/Generic. The rating of these crafting stations is unknown at this time. They act as a private crafting station.

Each droid can hold a certain number of modules and has a certain amount armour slots (see above). Detailed below is a listing of all droid chassis followed by two numbers. The first number is the number of modules each droid can hold. The second number is the number of armour slots each droid has.

Modules/Armour slots:

Adv. Protocol Droid: 2/1*

* denotes droid has personality chip slot

Special Abilities:

Power droids:
These droids allow you to heal other droids mind wounds and recharge other droids.

Probots:
These droids have a damage of about 50 ranged. They are currently the best attacking droid.

General Information:
Droids with personality chips cannot be named. To name other types, program four commands with the same starting name (ie: bob follow, bob stay, etc. to name your droid bob). Note that the same filter that is used for player names is used for droid names (ie: no numbers in the name).
You can store a maximum of five droids in your data pad.
Droids do not suffer from perma-death. Instead, a vitality system is used when they are incapacitated. Vitality can be healed by using a pet vitality pack.
There is no way to heal the white damage a droid takes in battle. This damage repairs itself over time.
Mind wounds are healed by droid batteries OR by a power droid. When a droid says it is low on power, these methods will recharge it. Storing your droid no longer recharges it, as you must now use droid batteries (which any artisan can make with engineering skills).
Health and action wounds are healed by a droid with a repair module in it, or by droid repair kits.
Do not dismiss or release your droid. It is gone for good then, and CSRs will NOT replace it.
A droid repair module will NOT allow you to repair your own droid. It is only useful when you wish to repair another person’s droid.
Droids can be colourized now. Some older droids are still having problems retaining their colour. A droid will require recustomization when its customization fades (a message will be given saying your droids customization has dropped, or gone completely). Customization does NOT affect the performance of your droid.
Repair modules do not work in power droids or in repair droids.

If you have a droid in need of repair, I will gladly repair it free, even if it was not purchased from me.

Thanks, Ackis! It was nice to see all this information updated and in one single place. Being only a Novice I still haven't got all the intricasies and nuances of the class. I hope you don't mind if I use this info verbatim in my in-game FAQ email

Excellent job, Ackis. The only thing I would offer to you for addition/modification is the part about Repair Modules. Yes, they do not work in Power Droids or Repair Droids (what a huge DUHHHH that is), but they also do not work in Protocol droids. It has been my understanding that they do not work in ANY droid that has a personality module since the personality module droid programming tree does not sport a Repair Droid command like the non-personality-based droids.

Additionally, it is also my understanding (and again, I could be wrong here) that the reason that the repair module does not work in a Power Droid is that the Recharge and Repair commands are add-ins to the normal non-personality programming tree and currently the programming tree only allows for one add-in and the Recharge command takes precedence over the Repair command, therefore that's why repair wins.

Also, for what it's worth, if you were to put multiple crafting station modules into a single droid, there is a precedence over which one would work. As it turns out, the order of precedence correlates to the speed the crafting station module is crafted in. The order of precedence (from highest to lowest) is as follows: Weapon/Droid/General (WDG), Food/Chemical (FC), Clothing/Armor (CA), and Structure/Furniture (SF). WDG modules are the fastest to craft (at 34 seconds, I believe), and SF are the slowest (at 69 seconds). Clearly, we all know that only one crafting station works so we only put one in, but if you were to put two in, now you can accurately predict which would work and which would not. For example, putting in a FC and a SF would mean the FC would work since it has the higher precedence. A little knowledge...for whatever it's worth...

grrr, stupid forum..... back to my post... Repair modules do not work in any conversational droid, tested it tonight, all new droids. Storage and Data Pad do not work in Surgicals, only in Le Repair and Protocol conversational droids.

Perhaps an addition to this...

A medical rating of 110 can also be achieved with 3 Level 3 Medical Modules.

A storage capacity of 10 can similarly be achieved with 3 Level 3 Item Storage Modules.

Great jobAckis.

Can we use this for our customers as long as we keep your sig on the FAQ?

What server are you playing on, I don't think your sigincluded that.

A few clarifications since you finished v2.

You can only call 1 droid at a time, even if you are a Droid Engineer.

Droid repair tools no longer exist.

Special ablilites listing for completeness:

LE Repair - repair other droids black HAM wounds, don't work EVEN if youinstall repair module

Surgical - allow you to use your medical skill without being in town or camp, don't work unless you actually install a medical module

DZ-70 - these droids have a ranged damage of about 30

Keep up the good work.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

Feel free to use and repost it, just keep my name with it please. It will take 3 of 4 mail messages in game to send to customers. I'm on the Wanderhome server. I suppose that special abilities should be updated to account for the misconceptions as well. I'll do that update now. I completely forgot about the repair tools LOL. Thanks for the feedback.

Good stuff Ackis!

I frequently receive /tells and emails from customers inquiring about the different droid personalities we put in the conversational droids. It would be cool if we could add the list of possible personalities here and maybe a couple sample comments for each one.

LOL great minds think alike. I just added that in, along with the other changes mentioned. I'll be posting it shortly.

Personality chips:
Three types of droids can have personality chips: LE Repair, Surgical and Protocol. The personality chips affect what is said by the droid (random messages by the droid) as well the text of the conversational interface. There are six types of personality chips: Normal, Stupid, Sarcastic, Prissy, Worshipful, Slang and Geeky.

Repair module:
This module allows your droid to repair other people’s droids (health and action wounds). It does not work in a repair chassis or a power droid chassis.

DZ-70:
These droids have a damage of about 30 melee. They are very weak compared to the probot. The advanced version of this droid has armor slots.

Surgical Droids:
A common misconception is these droids grant special bonuses to healing. That is NOT the case. It is just the way it looks. These droids work with the conversational interface. This allows them to use personality chips.

LE Repair Droids:
These droids do not have an innate repair ability, and in fact repair modules do NOT work with them.

Repair modules do not work in power droids or in repair droids.
Droid repair tools have been currently taken out of the game. They never worked anyways. Another player with a repair module installed in their droid is the ONLY way to heal health and action wounds.

If you have a droid in need of repair, I will gladly repair it free, even if it was not purchased from me.

I have an older Probot ADV that has a sarcastic personality chip installed ( before this was nerfed )

Some of the things he says ( seems to only talk during battle ) Are things like " Come get ya summa dis "

On my protocol Droid with the same chip installed it says things like (when called ) "Oh its just you"

or " Oh its YOU, What do YOU want "

LOL sometimes these can get funny i just wish they didnt take the chips out of the probots cause hes the

funniest one so far
