Thread: More critical failures lately?

Maybe it is just me but lately I have been getting a lot more critical failures than a while back. In fact I used to hardly get any at all. Now if I craft 6 probots at least 1 but sometimes up to 3 fail. The same thing happens when I craft any other droid.

I am still using the exact same crafting station (i.e. my droid) to craft things, so nothing has changed there.

I was just wondering if anybody else experienced the same thing or if maybe I just have bad luck.

I've been seeing some alarmingly high critical failures as well. I'm a master DE using a 40%+ home crafting station, and a 15%+ w/d/g tool. I made 4 droids yesterday and crit-failed 2 of them. Not cool.

I believe this has a lot to do with resource quality. The latest spawn of steel and chem on my server/planet is CRAP. The lower-quality resources are to blame, methinks..

I'll have to disagree...While I don't get as many failes as 50%...When I'm making a big batch of droids by hand (just putting them together) I usually fail I'd say 15% of the time...My resources are generally all high quality...OQ in the 900's...I think its all ridiculous...

I find that crit fails seem to come in bunches for me. For instance, two nights ago I couldn't craft ANYTHING, it seemed, without problems. Lots of critical failures on item creation, and even when I didn't, experimentation was failing badly.

The next morning, (but still before the server reset again) I had a simply amazing run of successes, both with crafting and experimentation. I was using all the same resources, the same tools (+14.86 quality) and the same crafting station (+37.8 quality).

I will have a couple of really good days then I will have a day were I cant craft anything without a crit fail. Resource quality doesnt seem to effect this, I had some polymers that are crap and then some really good stuff and that outcome really doesnt change except when it comes to expirmenting.

I haven't had a whole lot of problems just crafting droids, but I can tell you that I almost never get an experimentation to succeed. I'm just a novice DE right now, so pretty much any experimentation tells me I have a 50%-60% chance of failure, but I'm seeing failure rates closer to 90%.

Checking your spelling (and punctuation, too) will ensure that you're making sense to more than two people.

I'm getting a huge number of critical failures lately. In the past 4 days, I've had 7 critical failures on FINAL ASSEMBLY. With one droid, I had two critical failures on final assembly - back to back.

So I've started experimenting on the resources which go into final assembly. It seems to work, but I'm not sure of this. I'm also having my factory produce as much stuff as possible. Basically, everything except the final assembly.

What I mean is that I'm experimenting on the components that go into final assembly, and using high quality resources.

They seem to have switched over to using EQ's not-quite-random number generator. I have the same issues with streaky results on critical failures. Things will be fine, with hardly a failure at all for hours, and then suddenly for twenty minutes or so, I can hardly craft a single thing without crit failing either assembly or experimentation.

Actually, I think is is more serious than that. I was experimenting with 900+ materials on Electronic Modules and the experiements failed 3 times! I am using execptional quality tools, stations and materialstoo. I've been making those for a while now and can't even remember when the experiements failed.

I think there is something definately wrong.

I have noticed this myself... Crit failing on a ADV R2 final combine really hurts

I haven't had much problem with DE crafting failures, but Artisan experimentations have been ugly, of late. I crit failed the experimentations on 4 out of 9 fishing poles, 3 of which were in a row.

Fishing poles, for crissakes!

Try crit failing on the final build of your first ever advanced BLL. I vowed from that moent i would never be fool enough to attempt to make one again until they have a use. It gave me a complex.

Alright! Stop that! Silly!...and a bit suspect I think...
