Fellow DEs,
We need a full list of the configurations of droids that currently have problems with the Structure Maintenance modules.
I've seen a lot of different reports on this and I think we need to nail down exactly when/where/how they aren't working. It may well help us to get these fixed sooner than later.
Please keep the configuration brief and make sure to note whether or not the Structure module was in a Cluster (and, if possible, the other modules that were in the Cluster as well).

Works:
- WED Treadwell - Structure Mod. works with Storage (it's the only way I've made it, yet)
- Regular and Adv. MSE droids
- Protocol (unconfirmed yet)
- BLL (Adv.) - works in combo with Storage & Merchant
- << add yours please and I'll update this thread >>
Doesn't work:
- R-series droids (need individual chassis confirmation)
- << add yours please and I'll update this thread >>
Thanks in advance for the help!

Haven't they been asking for this same information for months now?
I've only used MSE droids for this module, simply because of the fact that they're so broken I don't want to waste my time/resources on putting it in anything else.
Didn't people submit a bunch of data on this not too long ago? I seem to recall a few posts in the pastasking for data on problems with this module.

They aren't asking really, I'm asking. It helps a lot to have it all collected in one place.
I'd go on a search but I have a few other big posts I'm working up.

I use a lvl3 Maintenance module on a R2 (I don't rememeber if it was in the cluster or not) and it work find since a lot of week... but I use it only on fixed structure (house, factory).
The only problem I had with this module, is that the structure maintenance module become disable when you redeed a structure without desassigned the droid:
1)
- you assign a droid to an exctrator.
- you redded the exctractor => the module is disable.
2)
- you assign a droid to an exctractor
- you remove the exctractor of the maintenance list of the droid
- you redeed the exctractor => the module still working.
I tested this after the module fix with MSE only and it seems to be repeatable, but I don't do a lot of test since I find this workaround (bug and workaround notified by a /bug a long time ago, and after the first fix of the module).
hope that can help you

A Level 3 Structure Module works in an Adv. BLL with a Barker Module and Level 6 Storage.

I did a lot of testing, and here is what I came up with, please prove or disprove me.
They work fine in any configuration OUT of a cluster in any chasis.
The chasis isn't the problem, the problem is the clusters.
The Maint module will not work in a cluster with a module that has it's "own" radial menu option. For example, Merchant or Entertainer, they each have their own radial menus.
It seems to work fine with Storage and data, simply because those are not their own radial menus, they are under the droid options menu.
I think that is clear, that is what I figured out a while back.

Ohh yea, I "think" it was only combat clusters I had that problem with. I will mess around with them tomorrow again.

Straker,
I tend to agree. I'd say we're all pretty safe to use them in non-Combat Cluster configurations.
If anyone sees that go wrong, let us know here in this thread...

I recently put a level-2 structure maintenance module in a Protocol droid, and it seems to be working fine. I'll double-check when I get home from work.

Lemmie save you the trouble. I've made MSE's. They seem to work fine.
UNTIL
if you take a structure and redeed it, but don't pull it off of your droid, you break the droid's radial. Then, it's borked.
So, when human nature kicks in and you want to go drop RIGHT NOW on that hot new Polysteel, you risk breaking the thing.
