A M Ranger has 105 CH skill. I've seen some droids with 106 CH skill. Are these the same exact skill? Meaning can a droid really harvest better than a Master Ranger?
Thanks in advance

There's diminishing returns once a toon is at Master. However, use of veghash + droid +Master Ranger should yield some increase. But not enough to equate to "absolutely must have".
This is, I suspect, from the thing that TH states about the rewards for 'stacking' being there, not being so high that they are seen as an out-and-out requirement. Some might want to try to eek out just that little bit extra..to get an edge.
I'd have to think that the best bet would really be in a Master Ranger actually using a 117 or higher droid. Once that point, there's actually some reward (yes, not giant...but it can't be, at this time anyway). I suspect numbers maybe different due to the longer term effects the CB/CR might bring (some of which can't really be foreseen).

Respectfully,

And unless they've changed the way the droid harvesting works out you should get a 7.79% increase in how much you harvest. With Veghash it would be less.
Here's the forumla that I've found.
f(x) = 0.1426*ln(x) + 1.0766
Where f(x) is the percent(decimal format) increase you get. (Ex: 1.07 is a 7% increase. But 0.98 is a decrease.)
x: is the percent(decimal format) of the droids creature harvesting stat vs. your creature harvesting stat.
(Example: If the droid is 107 and you are 106 then x = 107/106.)

Correct me if I'm wrong (buried in a lot of info swirling about in me head lately) but...

The droid gets the veghash bonus additively on top, yes? How would it be less?
If it is..I need to look for bugs in my Memory Module.

Respectfully,
He said the percent increase would be less, not that the amount harvested would be less. And the reason the percent increase would be less, if Tarne's formula is correct, is because the derivative of the logarithmic function is monotonically decreasing.

nobody said you get less with veghash. he said that the difference between what you get with the droid with veghash and what you get without the droid with veghash is less than the difference between what you get with the droid without veghash and what you get without the droid without veghash. If that makes sense.

Like I said....lots of stuff swirling around and I just totally misread/spaced on that.

An important thing to remember, and should be reminded to Rangers especially. This is why you get conflicting info.
Don't group the droid.
When some rangers "test" their droid, they first Harvest something, then get say 50. Then they pull out the droid and group it, then have it harvest and get say 45. It dropped because they were grouped, not because the droid was worse. If you are grouped, you lose a little harvest, simply because all group members can harvest the same creature (not so in a droids case.)
If the droid Harvested, yet was not grouped, he would have actually seen an increase not a decrease.

When I was testing it a vew weeks ago, grouping with the droid on it's own made no difference that I could see.
Grouping with players though did reduce the yield, with or without the droid.

Try applying the +harvest from vegash to both the player AND the droid in that formula, It seems to work out about the way it should.
If that's not it, there could be an arcane game mechanic at work here that throws the conventional formula off when using an outside modifier.

Nope, try again. That formula isn't right at all.
Take this example:
I have novice scout, which is 10 harvest skill. I have an MSE droid that I use to harvest with 35 bonus (was an early model for testing), so it would look like this:
f(x) = 0.1426*(35/10)+1.0766 or f(x) = 1.5757
Or a 57% increase. This is clearly not the case, as I only harvest somewhere between 5 and 7% with that droid (hard to tell exact value in game because of rounding and slight creature variations).
When I use my 110 rated R3, I get around 22% - so lets apply the formula to that and you get f(x) = 2.64 or 264%. Check that formula and get back to us please. If there really is a formula, I'd like to know it.
