I just finished reading the coming Publish 8 notes and ok so we get a few new modules.

But where is the Droid Handler/Droid controler prof and where are the battle droids.

Sure Publish 7 is giving us some Battlemech, but when the H are we going to be able to craft Droideka or any other kind of battle droids except this little modified R unit?

I'm just asking, hope some one can give me some clues or was this big Droid Invasion just a flop.

I started this game because:

1. It was Star wars and my first MMORPG

2. I wanted to make droids, battle droids, translator droids, droids droids ect ect.

I'm sorry to be the beaerer of bad news, MP-Denmark, but it's not what we hoped for.

No Droid Handler profession. Public Outcry, and internal discussions at SOE killed it.

No DH means no powerful droids, because they cannot release a bunch of powerful droids without upsetting the balance of the game.

The DH/DC profession got voted down. Publish 8 isn't going to see >CL10 droids added.

I'm not sure what you mean herebut there are no newcombat/battle droids coming in Publish 7. We are getting combat modules, which can be added to some of the existing droids.

There is no announced ETA for this.

You can make droids, that's true. You can't really make "battle droids" (i.e. Droideka, Trade Fed. "Roger, Roger" droids, etc.).

When publish 7 is pushed to Live, you'll be able to add combat modules to existing models (but not to any/all of them).

I think TK is just voicing his belief (and mineas well) that combat droids will be coming eventually. I think it's a forgone conclusion.

The big question is: How are they going to be implemented??

Given what I label as the "uber-healing" of the stim a, I believe that there will be bigger combat droids coming sometime in the future.

But then..... I still believe in the 'Tooth-Fairy' and 'Father Christmas'

True it doesn't mean much, also consider how I said "sometime in the future." That leaves this very open ended. Oh well, we can all hope.

Yup...that's the $64,000 question (which I'm working on...sorta). If it helps at all, just be aware...they Devs are paying attention to this more than youknow.

I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that they are paying very close attention to this...and that is a Good Thing (tm)

I continue to believe they do want us to 'have fun' with this profession, and they would be awfuly silly if they believed it is fun right now..so watch and wait is my current motto.

He means the Blastomech its in the latest news letter it looks like an R2 thats had its head replaced with a mini turret. Alsoit said "This little guy will be added to the game in a future publish. " Doesnt say publish 7 hope this clears things up a little.

Thnx for the headsup TK421 and the battlemech I was talking about is the one I saw in the mail I got, the March newsletter.

Still I the dam hope to see more real battle droids in the game.

There are tons of creatures, so why not make some battle droids.

I was hopeing to see this happening soon as the game is starting to get boring like H, only thing keeping it up at the moment are the chats I have with my friends and even EQ2 seems like something of interest.

It's Star Wars, sure the Jedi thing is one of the main thing about it, here comes the GCW too, but still a thing like a real translation droid is missing, to point out one more missing type of droid.

The game lacks some of the small things which makes itfeel like Star Wars, I've had many people leave the game because that feeling was missing.
