I am a Master Droid Engineer and also a Novice Tailor. I got the Droidsmith Toolset schematic from a friend who recieved it as a mission reward at the Emperor's Retreat.
One of the components needed to make this object is a Droid Repair Tool. As far as I can tell no such tool exists in my Master DE schematic listing so the Droidsmith Toolset appears utterly uncraftable. I tried making a Droid Repair Module hoping the component required was misnamed but unfortunately the module is not accepted by the Droidsmith Toolset schematic.
Does anyone have any clarification on this mystical Droid Repair Tool or is this yet another game flawDE's haveto endure, only this time coming via the Tailor profession ![]()

I'm sure someone has to have a droid repair tool lying around someplace. But what is a cargo pocket and heavy duty clasps from a factory crate ??
Oh my! Now watch these Droid Tool Kits be required to make the new droids added over the next couple of patches. How long can a Droid Engineer with Pistol 4 hold out against a Night Sister ??

Oh, I don't see it being very useful anyway.
The only droid-modded attachments/tapes/etc out there is worthless. Since experimentation is a joke (and even if changed only will likely have to do with crit fail rates and not item function - otherwise we'd just have "Item Storage Module" and not "Level 1-6") those skill enhancements are useless, as are "droid customization" ones and "construction".
Those are the only conceivable enhancements it could make - which to a master DE would be just about frickin' useful as a BLL...if it couldn't even be used as a sign.

Thats very true as we stand right now. The only thing extra experimentation points really do is allow you to experiment further on a second attribute. With great resources, you use all 10 of your points on fully experimenting 1 attribute. Since the only thing that experimentation matters on is crafting stations (1 attribute, effectiveness) then more points wouldnt be useful yet.
On the other hand, I wouldnt mind more points or better yet +assembly, which I think is what the droidsmith kit does. Tailors are making specialized clothing for different professions from the new poi schematics (ie +5 dancing healing dancer's leotard, +chef assembly/experimentation hat and apron, etc) and this is probably the DE's version of it.

But like everything else about DE, it's borked. The devs can't even give us something as simple as a quest item without screwing it up.

Well I may have a freind of a freind that may have one or two highly illegal, extremely rare, leagoedary, non-working Droid Repair Tools hidden away on Radient.
