Thread: Trying to excercise restraint...
im in complete agreeance. they sould of made the pet system and droid system comlpetly seperate. why do all the star wars games i like have to get messed up? WEG had a exelent RPG, then the company went bankrupt and lost the licence to do Star Wars, WotC (owns Magic and DnD)came along and made a joke of a Star Wars game DnD in Space.
SOE is doing the samething they are taking there flagship game and superimposing it onto their other games because of the almighty $.

WEG star wars is excellent stuff... I still usually manage to get in weekly games during the summer, plus about 4 straight days of it during gaming conventions.

I made sure to put the issue in enough places that its definately getting seen by the devs (multiple times). While it needs to be hotfixed ASAP, it isn't the worst bug we've had. There was one time we just couldn't craft droids.
Thanks, Jenden. I'm sure you are doing all you can do. I just don't have much hopes we will see a response though. It would be comforting to see Keldarin (sp?) post in here to let us know that they are working on a fix and making it a priority.
I don't see how SOE can push broken product out to their customers time and time again. It is our fault I guess because we keep playing, but there isn't any other alternative for a Star Wars MMORPG either. If my business sent out broken product to its customers (especially knowingly doing it), we might as well not be sending it at all.... cause they won't be calling again.
I'm just upset mainly for my customers who have bought a product which now does not work as advertised. Even though it's not my fault, it still makes me feel like a shoddy, second rate crafter. Oh well, it's just a game and it's just pretend money.

I agree to an extent that LucasArts has some blame, however, they do not control coding developments on a daily basis. SOE made the decision to take this live, thus in my opinion they are of sole blame for this disaster.
Deadlines like this are usually set by LA. It's SOE's job to try to meet them. Remember the RotW/CU fiasco? If you compare the running of EQ/EQ2 (SOE only) to SWG (SOE/LA) you'll see a big difference in the way the games are run. Since the only difference is LA...
SOE actually pushed back the date that this was supposed to be relased.LA had an interview where the release date for this publish was listed asTuesday.

Then I have one simple question. Who WRITES the code? LA or SOE?
For the record I beta'ed EQ1 and played initial release and I thought it was bugged to hell. The only difference between EQ and SWG is the time it has been coded/ran.I dont claim to know...hehe well much of anything really, but in my opinion (only my opinion) LA has dates they want something released but SOE is responsible for the coding, or so I believe, and ultimately they are responsible for the grade-A shyte that has been dumped on this game over the past 2 years or so.
Just my opinion.
